Really good series of book imo, read all from start to finish a few times. Lots of twists and turns as the series progresses, I keep meaning to watch the film.

I've read the whole series of books and absolutly loved them. They are a very good read and I would definatly recommend reading the whole series.

I just got back form seeing the film and while it is a very good film alot from the books is changed and it brings in plot points from as late on as Book 7 or 8.

Infact I would recommend finishing the book series before seeing the film or else you will ruin a few major plot twists for yourself.

Don't, read all the books. There's 12, and every one has it's indivual twists and turns. Watching the film before would ruin them imo.

Yeah, I agree with nnaan. I love the books, but tbh I preferred his other series, the Demonata. I think the Saga of Darren Shan books are for younger readers.

I read the manga, it seems pretty fun, if childish.

The series is really good and I used to read it. I ordered books from the U.K. book stores because I couldn't wait for the next book to come out.
It is one of the few series I have read and kept up with.
I refuse to go see the movie due to John C. Riley acting in it.
