Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

City Tournament in So Cal on the 1/8/11 Weekend?

Like 3-4 events on teh same days :// Even thought we got 22 its only possible to attend 10 of them and thats saying you can travel back and forth from north cal to south cal lol...

cmon is there any way we can get a tourney
the short answer: no.

the long answer: no. as stated upthread, only so many events are given out each year to each PTO/TO. and oftentimes not every single available date is going to be usable.

--not all possible CC dates are available in all venues. newsflash: stores have other gaming events they also have to schedule, not just pokemon.

--TOs actually have lives which include spending time with their families, holiday travel, work/school committments etc. during the holidays, in which much of the CC window fell into (thanksgiving through new year's).

"you" might be out of school bored with nothing to do, but the adults who run these events still have work, family, school, religious or other responsibilities to fulfill. keep in mind the people who run these events for you are essentially volunteers!

--even if it WERE possible to find a venue, sanction an official premier event, find a TO and judge staff *TWO DAYS* before the event, where is the publicity leadtime? people are busy, and schedules fill up; "you" might be able to juggle commitments and squeeze in a tourney, but that doesn't mean others can. we should move mountains at the last minute to satisfy a small number of players?

--and where is the CC kit...medals, door prizes, judge support, winner prizes...supposed to come from, 48 hours before this tournament you're demanding?

demand all you want, it's not as easy as saying 'i want one!!11!' and presto, everything falls into place with no effort. as that noted philosopher mick jagger said many years ago: you can't always get what you want.

it's pretty safe to say that all of us do the best we can, within the limitations of our own schedules, the schedules of the venues we use etc. when running our events. we're people: to be constantly told we're not doing enough, that we're lazy etc. etc. is....well, it's not the way to get what you're demanding.
