Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Citys

I would be careful about using Machamp in an area full of Uxies which other Machamps and Pixie decks will have.

Torterra/Sceptile maybe?

I would play gengar. If you know how to play it you can win almost every game expet for ttar and even then it's possible to win.

Torterra is bad against AMU and i cannot imagine it does well against spread decks like abomasnow or dusknoir since one of its main attacks damages its own bench.

i would say go with tyranitar.

Torterra's main attacks are frenzy plant and Vig Dash. Torterra has almost an autowin vs abomasnow and as everyone knows any deck with multiple unown G makes their noir matchup go sky high, i honestly dont know how you came to the conclusion about those 2 matchups. I haven't lost to either of these decks in tournament play ever. Im 1-1 vs AMU in tourny play, definitely a hard matchup but obv winnable.

torterra thrives on being able to soak up a lot of damage. supreme blast totally short circuits that strategy. torterra also relies on cutting attack costs in half with sceptile. if amu is running palkia lvl x (and every good amu build should) it will drag something forward that has no energy attached and isn't easily retreated - like sceptile or claydol. then azelf lvl x goes to work piling damage all over your bench for the next turn or three. torterra lvl x can be dangerous because it is capable of delivering well orchestrated double KOs but it's power can be short circuited at a critical moment with psychic bind and if amu wins the stadium war all the level x's will have 110+ hp, making them 2hkos for torterra.
i simply do not see a single aspect of the torterra/amu matchup which favors torterra except that amu is devilishly hard to construct properly and to run properly.

i am honestly completely ambivalent about the torterra/abomasnow matchup. the idea of this match up is about as interesting to me as watching two kids get in a slap fight during chess club.

Good post, i usually spread dmg via Terra X/SF, then abuse terra X's power in unison with spiritombs and counter stadiums to gain my prizes in sets. Retreat and palkia are problems for such a high retreat cost deck so naturally i run 4 ways to get unwanted pokemon out of active positions. You won't have 3 turns to just "pile on damage" with azelf X. IDK how else to post my reasons and idk if you get me, BUT i do think you're underestimating terra. All in all, a pretty entertaining match.
