Combo Energy (Special Energy)
Combo Energy provides :colorless Energy. When you attach this card from your hand to one of your active Pokemon, you may attach a Basic Energy card on that Pokemon.

This is like a Double Rainbow just in another way.

It needs a cost of some kind, though.
Either something you have to do to trigger it, or something to discard, or something bad that happens as a downside.
Otherwise it is broken.

Yeah, that needs a downside. Maybe a coin flip for the bonus basic Energy card?

I have a few ideas for a downside

taking 10 more damage
attacks require [C] more to use
increase in RC
no resistance
-10 HP

If the attacks require [C] more, what's the point of even attaching this card?

I don't know, maybe Your turn ends or give 10 damage to that pokemon.

not to impinge, but how about forcing it to be attached to a benched pokemon?

Better idea.

You can only attach Combo Energy to a Pokemon if you attach another Combo Energy at the same time? You'd have to have two hard to search cards in your hand at once, ala the + Trainer cards.

So, something like a Double Colorless Energy, but two seperate cards you attach at the same time?
