"Comic Book Craze": Garland, Texas

Howdy!

Hope everyone had an enjoyable "White Christmas." Not often in this part of Texas do we get to see that! If you're looking for something to do on the day-after, we'll be holding court at Comic Book Craze for our weekly league (1 p.m. to 3 p.m.) and tournament (starts at 3 p.m.). Cynthia Season supplies (including some Claydol thing people have been asking about) are in! So shake off your turkey-induced lethargy and wander down to Comic Book Craze for some Pokémon fun!

Y'know, I once got jacked up for attempting to highjack one of Sweet Clean Cookie's Houston threads. Fishy, you oughta be glad I'm a much nicer guy when it comes to such things.

There WILL be league on Saturday, regardless of what is happening in other parts of our fine 'burg. Grab yer decks and make haste to Comic Book Craze! Fun starts @ 1 p.m.

Howdy, Trainers:

I certainly hope everyone remembers this is the big week for Garland! We've got the HeartGold/SoulSilver Prerelease event going on at Comic Book Craze this Saturday! Registration will start at 10:00 a.m., and we hope to start passing out cards by 11:00! Fort Worth had a big week last week, with over 70 people, so we all know what that means! Bring all your friends, and make sure we are the biggest event in North Texas!

Also don't forget, we'll have a special HeartGold/SoulSilver Booster Draft for our traditional "Post-Release" on the following Saturday, Feb. 13th. If you haven't experienced the chaos that is a Booster Draft, you're missing out. We'll start registration for that at 1:00 p.m., and start drafting at 2:00 p.m. Cost will be $20.00. For anyone who does not wish to participate in the Booster Draft, we will be having our normal League play as well!

Howdy, and sorry for the late note!

The planned HeartGold/SoulSilver Booster Draft is a GO this Saturday, with registration starting at 1:00 p.m.! I will be out of town, but Professor Christine will be in the house to take care of all of your Pokémon needs! Regular League activities will be going on as well if you do not want to participate in the Booster Draft. Palmer season materials are in - make sure you're there this week to reserve your scorecard!

Also, I hope that everyone has seen Master Professor Birch's announcement regarding the 2009-2010 Texas State Championship being held at the Hyatt Regency Dallas at Reunion in downtown Dallas on March 20th! Make your plans now for this event - it's gonna be HUGE!

Howdy, all:

Reminder for anyone who doesn't get the DFWPokémon email blasts (and if you don't, you really should). There will be NO LEAGUE OR TOURNAMENT this week at Comic Book Craze. All Pokémon staff will be at the Videogame Championships at the Arlington Convention Center. We suggest you head out there (Jrs. start at 8:00a.m., Srs. at 1:00p.m.) and see what's up.

Also, the Sherman Battle Road will be on Memorial Day if you're looking for something to do after you commemorate the sacrifices made by generations of Americans to secure the freedoms we enjoy today. And heck, you might just thank the Sherman Battle Road organizer for his service while you're at it as well.

Hey North Texas Players, Just a reminder that we have League tomorrow Night at Watauga Public Library!! Check out my other League Post! If you can't make that one, feel free to drop by Haltom City Library Weds Night from 6-8 and get some fun in there!!

Yes, we will be officially meeting this weekend, and now that the 2009-2010 year is officially over, I've got the Argenta season cards in for your enjoyment! So come one, come all and let's get some playing time in before those Autumn Battle Roads start!
