Confused Pokemon vrs Holon Circle

My question is if your opponent is confused with the stadium Holon Circle in play and attacks. Would your opponent:

A) Need to flip for being confused. If heads, discard the Holon Circle and nothing else happens. If tails, they takes 30 damage and NOT discard the Holon Circle.
B) Need to flip for being confused. If heads, discard the Holon Circle and nothing else happens. If tails, they takes 30 damage and discard the Holon Circle.
C) The Holon Circle be instantly discarded with no flip for being confused.

From the DF FAQ:

Q. If Holon Circle is in play and I attack with my Confused Pokémon, what happens?
A. You don’t need to flip a coin, as your attack would do nothing because of the effect of Holon Circle. At the end of the turn, Holon Circle is discarded.
