Confusing LEGENDS on Ebay

It's very difficult to find an accurate price for a LEGEND on Ebay. From what I gather, people list that they have a LEGEND for sale and list the full picture. Then, I realize it's only for one - half of the card!

This one has a bid of $26.63 and the picture is full. NO WHERE DOES THE SELLER MENTION IT IS ONLY HALF THE CARD FOR SALE!

I doubt people would bid so much if they understood this was for half the LEGEND rather than the whole.

Is this just another way some Ebay sellers rip people off or is it for both cards?

What if it IS both Legend cards? I mean, how are you going to list that on ebay? 113/114/123? 113+114/123? It's hard to make it searchable under those shenanigans.

The fact that he forwardly points out that you need two cards to play it makes me wonder if he's actually selling both simultaneously, but only has it numbered as the top half to make it easier to search for.

Asking the seller is the most obvious option here.

OR, you could have it say "113/123 & 114/123".

Still, I agree with everyone else here. Ask the seller.

Wow its not that hard it says in the description that he is selling 113/123 and then he further explains that you need both peaces 113/123 & 114/123 to complete it.

Or you could simply do 113&114/123 as the ebay search engine doesn't recognize "/" and all other punctuations. It doesn't even recognize the "s" when you search a plural.

I wouldn't buy from anyone who can't spell 'collectible' correctly anyhow, collectable is incorrect. It's just a sign they would be hard to deal with if there's something wrong.

I think there's no right way to sell 'collectibles'.
There's probably just a single way to properly spell it.

Oh, the irony.....
Sorry buddy, couldn't help myself

If you check this guys other auctions you can see that he is selling the other half (114) as a seprate auction. So I'd say that this was almost definatly just half.

Bah, leave waynegg alone.

This is a good thread. Will hopefully make people a little careful on buying, and avoid some disappointment

When the link appeared in the OP I immediately clicked it for a reference point. Reading from top to bottom it was clear to me he was selling only 1/2 the card. Again if you are skeptical you can always contact the seller to get all information you need. Troll and Toad had a relatively cheap Lux GL X auction a bit ago, a simple phone call to the store told me it was NOT the WC edition of the card.

Keep in mind the sets new, legends are new, there will be hype. In a few weeks would 26.63 for 1/2 a legend seem extreme? You betcha!

Go back to old sayings of:
Fool and his money...
Buyer beware...
Etc

Its your decision as a consumer to take the auction at face value and bid unsure 100% what you will get. It can also be your decision as a consumer to request information on the product you're paying for.

Make an informed decision and you'll not have to deal with a back and forth when a package shows up with nothing you expected in it.

ya, I checked it out also, he is only selling 1/2 the card, card number 113.

His description is accurate. Although a disclaimer would of been nice too...
