Hm, the easy solution should have been preventing by changing the puzzle a little. =/
Anyway, this was a nice one. ^^

if I recall right day 1 had 2 answers too....
Day 4 had 2 answers iirc. But there wasn't one that was a lot easier than the other one.

Theres suppose to only ever be 1 answer and if you are seeing 2 you are probably overlooking something.

All puzzles have had only 1 correct answer.

Day 1 after looking it over has only 1 solution, I can't see how you could win in any other method besides the one i came up with. Same with day 4 but it is more likely I am missing something there.

Day 6 I can guarantee there are two correct answers, although you could easily get rid of one those by changing one thing in the puzzle.

I've PM'd a few people about an extra chance for Puzzle #4. Too many people gave their opponent a prize and I didn't make it clear enough that you should not give the opponent a prize under any circumstances.

Look forward to reading over the Day 6 answers.

Wow Guys, I just started reading the puzzle #6 answers and I realized I made a mistake on the puzzle.

Mantine has 70 DMG on it not 60 DMG.

Sorry guys. I will be PM'ing those who deserve a second try ASAP.

I blame DMTM- still messing with our minds :D
Watch out there's a Gengar about.

[I'm enjoying the puzzles, I vaguely remember Wotc doing a few of these many many years ago. Topdeck magazine?? ]

There goes my win then, I'm glad I waited to send my anwer in!

Edit: Also, when you say we can add or remove cards during the puzzle. Does that mean I could, say, act like my Gastrodon West Sea is in the discard in the beginning, or maybe my Machamp? I'm just curious if it means everything can be put in, or only certain cards.

I'm pretty sure it means that during the process of solving the puzzle, cards can be added or removed to the discard pile as they would be during normal play. You can't just decide that something is in the discard pile.

What I meant by that statement is through normal means of paying for stuff you may add cards to the discard pile. Like if you use a poke-power that discards energy, you would be adding cards to the discard pile. I just didn't want people to think that the discard pile was off limits because it wasn't shown on the image.

And I think I'm going to post the next puzzle tonight at 8PM EST. It will give everyone a little more time to figure it out and get all their answers into me.

All answers will be due tomorrow, Dec. 31st at midnight.

ive got a question, it says i need to knock out my opponents electivire this turn or i will lose. does that mean we cant KO drifloon and win or is it a typo?

Good question. Just take a prize. You don't have to KO the Electivire Lv.X if you can KO the Drifblim.

If there were anything in either player's discard pile, I'd have shown it.

Good game sir! These were all fun and challenging and I enjoyed solving them all. It must have taken the original writers so long to make these given how many ways are 10 Damage away from knocking out a Pokemon.

prime: should i resend my day 6 as i think it was wrong due to the mantine thing. and will we only hear from you if we got the wrong awnser?

Prime, just pointing out I forgot to add the word answer in the title of my PM for my Day 6's puzzle (just sent it)....so it will just say PokeGym Puzzlers Day #6.

As for the deadline of Day 7....do you mean at 12:00 AM (Jan 1st), but at night of Dec 31st? or do you mean tonight (Dec 30th) at 12 am (Dec 31st)? I don't mean to sound like a smart alec, just want to be clear of the dead line.

The "Day 7" problem was pretty challenging, but I think I've solved it. That was really fun solving all of those problems. Thanks, Prime!

The last day of the event is tomorrow. I posted tomorrow's puzzle early. All answers are due tomorrow at midnight. (27 hours from now)
