Ok first choose a basic pokemon, then create all new moves, bodies, and/or powers for that card and all of it's evolution line. For instance Magnemite, create a card for Magnemite and Magneton. Give a brief but detailed explanation of what the card looks like. The scale goes as follows.

Grammer:20 points
Creativity:20 points
Realistic:20 points
Playability:20 points(make it good, not broken)
Artwork:20 points

Total:100 points

The deadline to have them in is Tuesday December 14, 2004. There is no prize, just lots of cool playable cards for people to admire, and the satisfaction of knowing that your the contest winner.

Well... this isn't actually an Evolution line, but I feel guilty posting only one card, so...

Lunatone
70 HP
Basic Pokémon
Type: (P)
Weakness: (W)
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: (C)

Picture: Lunatone is traveling over an ocean at night at a very fast speed. It is skimming the surface of the water, leaving a long wake behind it. If you look hard enough into the dark waters, two adult Mantine and a child Mantine can be seen traveling in the same direction.

Poké-Body: Tidal Shift
As long as Lunatone is in play, you pay (C) less to retreat your (W) Pokémon and your opponent pays (C) more to retreat his or her (W) Pokémon.

(C) - Energy Sap - 10
Flip a coin. If heads, and if the Defending Pokémon has any Energy cards attached to it, choose 1 of them and discard it.

(P)(P) - Shadow Trick - 30
If you have a Pokémon named Solrock in play, you may flip a coin. If heads, remove all damage counters from Lunatone and put damage counters on the Defending Pokémon until it is 10 HP from being Knocked Out. If tails, remove all damage counters from the Defending Pokémon and put damage counters on Lunatone until it is 10 HP from being Knocked Out. (Place the damage counters after doing damage.)

~-o-~

Solrock
70 HP
Basic Pokémon
Type: (F)
Weakness: (W)
Resistance:
Retreat Cost: (C)

Picture: It is a bright sunny day, with a clear blue sky. Solrock is directly in front of the sun, and its silhouette can be seen in front of it. A lens flare can also be seen.

Poké-Body: Solar Glare
As long as Solrock is in play, attacks done by your (R) Pokémon do 10 more damage and attacks done by your opponent's (R) Pokémon do 10 less damage.

(C) - Energy Plus - 10
Flip a coin. If heads, attach 1 Energy card from your hand, if any, to 1 of your Pokémon in play.

(F)(C)(C) - Solar Fury - 30+
If you have a Pokémon named Lunatone in play, flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage plus 30 more damage.

Artwork to come eventually...

Stage one Pokemon.
Evolves from Mysterious Fossil.

Picture: An Omanyte is floating just below the water surface. The water is clear. You can see some aquatic weeds tangling at both side of the picture and some pebbles at the bottom of the picture. There are three Woopers swimming lazily at the background. The Omanyte is looking directly at you. You can see some rays of sun on the water surface.

Poke-Power (Sudden Bind)
When you play Omanyte from your hand to evolve your active Pokemon, each defending Pokemon is now paralyzed.

(W) Evolution Splash
Choose one of your benched Pokemon. Search your deck for a card that evolves from that Pokemon. Put it onto the basic Pokemon (this counts as evolving that Pokemon). Shuffle your deck afterwards.

Weakness (G)
Resistance
Retreat Cost (C)

Omastar (W) 90HP
Stage two Pokemon.
Evolves from Omanyte.

Picture: An Omastar is floating in a stream. The water is clear and you can see some distorted shapes of Magikarps swimming just below the water surface. You can see lots of tree, bushes and pebbles on the riverbank. There are clumps of weeds peeking from the top of the water surface. You can't see the sky because the trees are too thick. There are two Poliwags at the background. The Omastar is flailing it's tentacles around in the stream, to catch some morsels.

Poke-Power (Sudden Bind)
When you play Omastar from your hand to evolve your active Pokemon, each defending Pokemon is now paralyzed.

(C) Devolution Splash
If your opponent have any evolved Pokemon, remove all evolution cards attached to one of them.

(W)(W)(C) Shell Shock
Choose one of your opponent's Pokemon. This attack does 40 damage to that Pokemon (don't apply weakness and resistance for benched Pokemon).
