It's only a matter of months until Microsoft's next Xbox is here! I'm sure you guys have heard about it already, but what do you guys expect/want to see on the new system? Any highly anticipated games? Post anything Xbox 360 related here!

halo 3, perfect dark zero, some se/prequel for fable and ninja gaiden, and "the games made by the people from final fantasy".
and xbox live 2.0 which includes msn messenger XD
 
I hope there is someway to use your current XBL account for Xbox 2 or Xbox 360. And iff Microsoft is smart they'll let you play older games. And don't expect a Halo 3 anytime soon since Bungie's next project is something different.

Although under a NDA I can tell you that the whole system will have very few wires/cables.......let you guys work that out :wink:

Backwards Compatibility with the first Xbox looks extremely unlikely right now.

XB360 has a totally different architecture, and considering how much of XB was contracted from nVidia, a system-on-a-chip or emulated compatibility (like PS2's) is almost impossible.
 
I don't get it. What possible advantage could the next xbox have over the current one, especially since not even 5 years have passed since the launch of the 1st one?

Yes.

I like NeXbox the best, but that's never going to happen, and there's no guaranatee that NeXbox is coming out this year, that was entirely speculation, all we know is that it's being unveiled at E3. No launch dates, nothing.

Oh god, when I read this at first, I thought it was a joke...

But then I discovered you were serious.

In the past five years, the speed and power of computers has multiplied at a rate faster then it ever has before, and the current generation has overstrenuated its life cycle (the current generation is running on six years, starting with the dreamcast, which IS considered part of this generation seeing as it's more powerful then the PS2), I'm surprised that the nex-gen didn't come out last year.

look up previous consoles and their release years, and then compare their abilities.

I think the same development team working on this one is also working on Duke Nukem Forever....

oh and speaking of games that were supposed to come out for the x-box, when the crap does conker live and reloaded come out!!!
 
During May, MTV and Mircosoft are going to show off the next Xbox. I thinks it May 12 and 13 in a half-hour special that will show the final product

DNF is and has been worked on by 3D realms of Rockstar games for eight years, it has, in that period of time, become a living joke, as being the longest delayed game in history, with three engine switches and no canellation in sight.

PDØ was never announced for N64 and certainly not GameCube, as Rare was swooped by Micro$oft in Mid-'01.
