Currently Revealed Cards: What Do You Think?

If you want more spoilers, Pokébeach has a few as well. About 14 or 15 cards have been revealed on the site. One more note...BW6 refers to the upcoming set.

BW6 is actually the set FOLLOWING Dragons Exalted. Just for clarification, might as well mention it. It is in Japanese terms, which means it excludes Noble Victories (as a set, they still have the cards I believe).

Anyway, who wants more spoilers? I know I do!

Yanma – :grass: – HP70
Basic Pokemon

:colorless::colorless: Whirlwind: 20 damage. Your opponent switches the Defending Pokémon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon.

Weakness: :lightning: (x2)
Resistance: :fighting: (-20)
Retreat: 1

Yanmega – :grass: – HP100
Stage 1 - Evolves from Yanma

:colorless::colorless: Agility: 30 damage. Flip a coin. If heads, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokémon during your opponent's next turn.

:colorless::colorless::colorless: Cutting Wind: 70 damage.

Weakness: :lightning: (x2)
Resistance: :fighting: (-20)
Retreat: 0

I'll get as many spoilers as I can up as quickly as I can, but right now I have some homework to do.

Emerging Powers. Noble Victories contains all their Red Collection and quite a few other cards.

My bad on that one...I was going off of Bulbapedia's statement that "Dragons Exalted is the name given to the sixth English expansion of cards from the Black & White Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game." Dang Pokébeach also threw me off with translations already coming out for the next Japanese set.

Ho-Oh EX sounds the most fun conceptually to me; given the many, many, many ways of dumping cards into the discard (since the wording on Rebirth doesn't suggest he has to have been KOed somehow beforehand, unless there's some errata out there), tossing him and 3 different Energy types into the discard is a breeze. My main question with Rebirth would be is it self-referencing (ie, can I use a Rebirth per Ho-Oh EX in my discard) or is it one per turn solely? My gut feeling is that it's the latter, but if it's the former it'd be pretty sweet as then you can just dump Ho-Oh EXs into your discard to increase your chances of reviving one (and regardless you'd be dumping them to revive as many as you can per turn instead of playing one, then tossing Energy onto it manually). I mean, T1 100 is very feasible, though not as likely after the HGSS sets (likely) get rotated out.

Other than that, I'm more awaiting confirmation Hydreigon, Garchomp, and Altaria make it into the set. The good ones mind you :p

My Meganium Prime /Celebi Prime/ Mewtwo EX deck with a plethora of healing cards have been waiting for another good attacker and high HP pokemon that can abuse the grass energy acceleration and energy swap that the deck provides.

Girantina EX is a good addition; however, Meganium Prime and Celebi Prime will probably get rotated before then. How sad.
Celebi and Meganium are both rotating before Dragons Exalted comes out...

1. Ho-oh's ability is called phoenix not rebirth.
2. You will most likely be able to use one Phoenix per Ho-oh in your discard pile.
3. All three of those are confirmed to make the set.
4. If you want my list for Ho-oh just ask.

Well considering I made that post a month ago when they were unconfirmed and names not finalized...

I still say Ho-Oh sounds fun though, though again it will depend on what rulings come down for it.

Why does everyone make a big fuss over mew!? It's only got 120 hp so its one shot from a zekrom, and low hp plus an EX means that if u have 3, u will most likely will lose in 3 turns.
And why does everyone say Terrakion is energy acceleration? He takes 3 turns to set up from turn 1 to 3 if u don't miss an attchment by then ur opponent will probably have set up and TERRAKION will be dead or close to it! Meaning u will probably only use it once.

I don't understand why people think Terrakion EX is bad. His second move is essentially the same as Entei's except you attach 2 from hand instead of 1 from discard. People aren't having trouble using Grand Flame w/ Entei are they?

Rayquaza EX – Dragon – HP170
Basic Pokemon

:colorless: Sky Shout: Discard the top 3 cards from your deck. If any of those cards were Energy cards, attach them to this Pokémon.

:fire::lightning: Dragon Burst: Discard either all :fire: Energy or all :lightning: Energy attached to this Pokémon. This attack does 60 damage times the amount of Energy discarded.

Weakness: Dragon (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Dragon Burst says to discard all basic :fire: or :lightning: energy attached to it. That makes a big difference with Prism Energy and the upcoming Blend Energys.

I am guessing because they
a) Know the history of the game
b) Know the combos we've already seen in Japan

Obviously you don't, so class is in session.

Mew EX is the update of Mew ex (EX: Legend Maker 88/92). This older Mew ex was the focus of it's own deck, "Mewtric". Never underestimate what happens when attacks that weren't intended to stack are blended, or even just the usefulness of taking an otherwise useless Pokemon and Benching it to copy it's attack. Sometimes it is about type matching. Sometimes it is because there is a key card that Mew ex could use but the other Pokemon couldn't.

Mew EX looks to be good for copying Accelgor's Deck and Cover, as an example. Yes you'll need to set-up a single Accelgor on your Bench, but this means Mew EX will never even be hit. At least one build I saw used Gothitelle, since everytime Mew EX or Accelgor used Deck and Cover, Gothitelle was promoted. Not sure exactly how it got to the Bench; the deck may have to max out on Escape Rope and Switch. Your opponent only gets to "swing" on turns when you score a KO. With the current format favoring basic Pokemon, there are useful cards Mewtwo EX can access that Evolutions it is copying can't.

Oh, and remember this is on top of pulling a Zoroark (Foul Play version) by being able to copy anything your opponent can do. Yes something with really specific Energy requirements is probably out, but Prism Energy says "hello".

And why does everyone say Terrakion is energy acceleration? He takes 3 turns to set up from turn 1 to 3 if u don't miss an attchment by then ur opponent will probably have set up and TERRAKION will be dead or close to it! Meaning u will probably only use it once.

Have you play-tested BW-On yet? It looks like most decks will need the first turn (minimum) for set-up, and probably first two turns. We no longer have access to Dual Ball or Pokemon Collector to get Basic Pokemon out en masse. We also lose access to Professor Oak's New Theory, so get used to building around the drawbacks of N and Professor Juniper.

Odds are we'll be getting Ether, unless for some reason Japan gets it and we don't. If the translations are correct, it's an Item that reveals the top card of your deck; if it is a basic Energy you attach it and if not you simply put it back on top of your deck. With this, it should be pretty easy to get a Terrakion EX going before it gets KOed.

Without it, it is still reasonable that Terrakion EX will survive. Early game, scoring 180 damage across the first two turns is challenging... and that's what one has to do to KO Terrakion EX before you have a chance to get it fully powered. Yes the very first turn Terrakion EX can't do anything. The turn after that it can hit for 50. The turn after that it hits for 90 and attaches two basic Energy to something. For most popular Pokemon right now, that's a single attachment from being ready to attack... even if it is just a second Terrakion EX.

It isn't an "auto-pilot" strategy, but it's at least a solid one, and of course we can't forget that odds are you'll be scoring double damage quote often due to Lightning and Darkness decks usually suffering from Fighting Weakness.

Does anyone think that Yanmega/Fliptini will be a fun deck at least? Sure, it can be Catchered around, but it could be fun.

Anything can be a fun deck, depending on your definition of fun.

If you are the kind of person who enjoys losing with a flippy deck that does minimal damage, then Yanmega is right up your street!

Hardcore players will prefer to get their thrills with Blitzle NVI though.

Posted it before the most recent translations, haha. I may or may not go fix stuff and I may or may not add more text spoilers to the front page.

I'm thinking of a Registeel/Raikou/Electrik deck. Registeel to start softening the opponent and tanking. Raikou to snipe the weak. Electrik to keep the snipe going. Doesn't seem like a bad idea to me :)

Right now I am playtesting a Mew EX/Accelgor/Gothitelle/ Darkrai EX deck that is working way better than I expected it to. Can't wait till August so I can get my hands on the actual cards.
