Custom Avatar Contest Disscusion Thread

I am just curious, my wife and I won the last custom avatar day contest, and we were promised two dice. I was just curious as to when we should expect to recieve them thanks :smile:

But that was the whole idea. You will NEVER get the dice! They only said you would get these so called "dice" so people would make better avatars. Dice don't exist, dice are a myth. BWahahahahaha :tongue:

I wonder how my avy would do at this contest.

....does anyone know how to make your avy a bit bigger? Mine seems so small for some reason while it's bigger on other forums.
 
Well it's too late to make it bigger now since that would require you to reupload. But yours is 100x97 so you really wouldn't be able to make it noticeably bigger since the limit is 100x100 on Pokegym (mine is that size). I thin if you added a on pixel thick border around the pic it might make it appear slightly larger.

But all you do to make it larger is you can stretch it (which could make it look REALLY bad), or if you're working with a large picture just scale it down differently with whatever editor you use.
 
My Pidgeot powering up. Its still shows in my user CP butI don't know whats going on. Maybe all those infractions Pablo gave me deleted it.

Maybe that thought isn't totally incorrect since the last avatar contest was won by someone who just used art online (I believe)

I have very little experience with paintshop, so I asked a friend of mine at an Advance Wars forum I staff at to create me one with Flygon. Once I finally get the dice from the previous contest, I had planned on giving one to him anyways as a sign of appreciation.

It is sorta art online, but it was an alteration of HP Delta Flygon. So the guy who did it did have some creativity. I have his Dragonite one as my avatar for the beach and professor forum.

I don't think that googled images should be outlawed in the contest, but I personally would not vote for one when theres something else that had a lot more creativity.
