Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Cute BR's JR story

It goes to show that people are jumping on the Arch-type bandwagon, and not really knowing what they're doing. Any good G&G deck runs at least a 1-1 line of Claydol, Gardy Lv.X's bddy means it should have 1 or 2 War Point. Running no :water: energy along with all those other errors is the icing on the cake of misstakes (the G&G player gets the cake).

Well, your whole post was a misplay.

Phazon Elite--Brandon has only been playing for about 4 months. He is ranked around 23 in the U. S.
He won the Ga State Tornament, Finished third in the North Carolina Regional, and won 7 battle Roads with a 33-2 record. He is a fast learner.

Keith- Thanks for the kind words about Brandon. He really looks up to Alex and thinks a lot of you to. You and your gang were the ones who really helped us when we first started playing. When we came up to play league with all of you, everyone was really helpful.

He'll be dominating everything next year. : )

Ken: I cannot wait to see the Chattanooga crew @ Nats. I spoke to TJ today and he said Jennifer and Noah would be up. He is shooting for Worlds in FL. Come find me in Ohio....I'm on Staff and will be the Chief Wrangler of the Piglets on Saturday and Sunday.

Heh this is a similar situation to what happened at one om the Battle Roads I went to.

Player 1: Mawile CG active (remember it has -30 grass resistance)
Player 2: Leafeon with Bind down active (Bind down does no damage)
Player 1: Has Unknown Z and no warp points/switches in their deck
Player 2: Has Claydol

The match went to time where the Leafeon player ended up retreating and KOing for the win in sudden death.

I have my answer...which will be controversial.
I'm eagerly awaiting this, as I can't imagine any answer other than waiting for time to run out, and then telling both players that they need to attempt to make progress toward taking a prize (which essentially means that the Spinarak player will have to do something other than Impound). If he has something benched that can OHKO Phione, he'll do that. If he can demonstrate that he's actively trying to set something up, either to do an attack or to lock down Claydol until the opponent decks, then they play on. If it's evident that this deck has nothing but Spinarak and Ariados, then he'd better attack and hope for lucky paralysis flips. Refusal to make progress would likely qualify as Unsporting Conduct: Major, which results in a prize card penalty. If he has a way to win, he wins. If not, he doesn't. Where's the controversy?

Gardevoir lvx has to be active to evolve so that is also not an option. The only option is running claydol or warp point or switch.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Just an update for ya-- The Kid (Brandon) you are referring to, that in your opinion doesn't know how to build a deck just finished 3rd in the U.S. Nationals. Maybe your wrong about the deck building:lol:.
