Damaged Ultra Rare in pack

So my pull ratios for Plasma Freeze have been horrible. Something like 1 Ultra Rare in like 20 random packs. I finally pull a FA juniper and... its bent, creased and scratched along back!!! I just set customer service an email. Has anyone here had any luck getting cards replaced? My pull karma with this set is just horrible...:frown:

I wouldn't expect a replacement.

I have pulled URs in the past that have been cut (as in not a miscut, but an actual cut) along the side almost like a jagged blade was used to cut the sheet (all cards in the packs these came out of were the same way).

Just bad luck, but Booster Pack buying is kinda like gambling in that way. Sometimes you, sometimes you loose. Sometimes the slot machine malfunctions and your win is void.

I opened 4 boxes and got 1 ultra rare and 1 FA Juniper. Your pull luck is actually amazing. You're lucky to pull anything from random packs from the store.

I've thought this as well as have been concerned about the sort of behavior this encourages in Juniors. I no longer buy individual packs for my child. Opening a couple of boxes every 3 months is just part of stocking up for the game, but spending $4 on a pack every week and either have a big hit or disappointment is too much like buying a scratcher.

Pardon my french but the quality has been crap since Dragons Exalted. The cards almost always have a touch of Whiting on the edges right out of the pack and the pack art and wrapping strength has been mediocre at best.

I just picked up a few EX Dragon Frontiers packs from Target yesterday. The packs were tougher to open, better quality and the cards inside were all mint. This slow decline in quality is garbage and collectors like myself notice.

I 100% Agree. It's to the point where as soon as I pull the card out of the pack it's in near mint condition at best. That is unacceptable. Just one of many reasons I'm not buying packs anymore.

Plasma Freeze has been the first expansion where I've noticed damaged cards out of the packs.

It's always one card out of the 11 that is damaged (not all packs have damaged cards, but of the ones that were damaged), and always in the top left corner. It's a slight crease, ranging in size from 1-4 mm, slightly diagonal. It's always the rare, reverse holo or the card before the rare.

At first I thought I was being too rough opening the packs, but it's always the same cards, somewhere in the middle of the pack that is damaged. Then I opened a few very carefully and it was still damaged.

I hope Plasma Blast isn't as inconsistent.
