Dan Green loses wife to childbirth

On November 25, 2011, the day after Thanksgiving, voice actor Dan Green became a father to a pair of healthy twins; a boy and a girl. However, his wife passed away during childbirth. Heartbroken by these chain of events, friend and fellow voice actor Mike Pollock has made a website where fans may leave caring messages to Dan in his time of tragedy, and may also donate to help aide the children who are now without a mother.

We are deeply grieved by this turn of events and wish Dan Green all the best during these troubled times. Dan is known for voicing a number of humans such as Professor Birch, and Ash's Treecko along with many other Pokémon in the English dub of the Pokémon anime, Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog, Yugi Mutou from Yu-Gi-Oh, along with many others.

I was surprised no one has posted this up given the news came out yesterday. I'm sure the whole community's heart will reach out for Dan during this time of tragedy. According to Wikipedia a couple of other voices he has done for Pokemon are Gym Leader: Chuck, Gym Leader: Norman, Gym Leader: Wattson, Lombre, Gym Leader: Byron, Grovyle, Mewtwo (in Pokemon: Mewtwo Returns), Spencer Hale, Entei (Pokemon Movie 3), Vicious (Pokemon 4Ever), Damos (Pokémon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life ), and many more that aren't listed.

Thanks for bringing this up here, it's good to see that people care about him, especially after his tragedy.

I hope that all the best goes to his family, and I hope his kids an himself live healthy lives. Sorry for your loss Dan.

As someone who knows what it is to have lost a spouse; I wholeheartedly sympathize and express sincere condolence for Mr Green as well as for his children and family.
