::Quote Yes it is, since it's a level 9. I can only get halfway through the song when playing it on heavy. Quote::
The Anaconda : once you get to the middle to near end the steps repeat itself. But it is a really cool song and I like it.

Yeah I know all the steps for it I could do some of the Lv. 9 steps from memroy. I just can't move that fast.

How convenient that this was posted when it was...

Perhaps someone can help me with this. My friends and I, whenever we're out and we find a DDR machine, we go at it a bit. And, although we're not really good, we have fun. I personally love making a grand fool of myself on it.

Anyway, I'm going to get DDR for playing at home. Aaaand... I have no idea where to start. There's like fifty million versions of it, and I can get it for either my computer, or my PS2. And I'm not sure what brands of dance pad are best.

Anyone able to tell me what the latest version of DDR is, and have any advice on a good brand of dance pad? I'll definately be researching it, but anyone who already knows, and could tell me (Or PM me, or e-mail me), if you would, I would greatly appreciate it.

DDR Extreme for the PS2 is the latest version released in the US. As for the brand of dancepad... that's a toughy. Dun get the cheap ones cause they break easily. I've seen good soft pads tho for 25 dollars by Naki. My lasted about a year or so before it gave out and it gave out cause I was a little rough with it in concerns of storing it. The hard octane pads or whatever are good too but they're expensive.

the latiest version of DDR for the PS2 is called DDR Extreme.and I would say you could get both the computer version and the PS2 version. The computer Version is called Stepmania and to download it go to www.Stepmania.com . But the bad part is you have to download the songs seperately.the dance Pad you should get is the red octane pad.It costs around $100.00 but it is worth it. but since you are starting out at home buy the DDR extreme bundle it comes with the cheap pad but it is for beginners thay usualy last for about 1-1.5 years.

or if you get with good players (like The Fish King from here) they only last 1-1.5 hours... Seriously, on two seperate occasions he and I and Joe Monkey (on the 2nd time) killed two of those lame pads within an hour. :D

You guys must be real psychopaths... my Konami mat that came with my DDRMAX2 (bought December 17 2003) just now started acting, and I've been doing 9 foot songs regularly since oh... Feb.-March ish, as well as more recently 10 foot attempts. Now it doesn't respond correctly, though, FINALLY. Hah.

wow mine is acting up the same way I have bought the DDRMax2 combo (the game with the pad) and my pad has been woorking since dec23 of last year.My pad still works but one of the button marks doesnt work.My O button doesnt work but thats ok I still have X and the 4 arrows.

Last Christmas I bought a set of two thick foam pads off of Ebay. I think it was around $60 for the set, including shipping. They've lasted well and are MUCH better to use than the soft, flat pads that you get at Toys R Us and other retailers. My neighbor has those and they slip all around the floor when they play. I believe the ones I bought are similar to the Red Octane pads but the foam isn't as dense so they are cheaper. Here's a link to something similar on Ebay but mine are from DDR Nation. Basically, go with the thicker pads- you'll be much happier!
I have a question though. No matter how hard we try we never look like we're dancing when we play DDRMax. We have a lot of fun, sweat alot, and can complete the songs but we still look like robots.
Any secrets or suggestions? Maybe we just can't dance....

Cool I should check the DDR pads you bought out. When you play DDR you are correct that it doecnt look like your dancing and we do look like robots but people can dance on the machine. There are some very experienced players that can do freestyle on both pads and single. Try doing double at home and add your dancing to it with the two pads. Most of the time dancing works with 2 pads.If that answers you question.
Everyone-Can any one do freestyle in DDR.Im working on my freestyle and any one have any tips on it. i can do Brillant 2 U freestyle.
Keep on Dancing.

Well, it was almost unused before we got to it :p

Long story short, because of that, I bought a hard metal and wood dance pad... Haven't killed it yet.
