If I have an Elekid in play and my opponent has a Dark Ampharos in play, what happends when I evolve my Elekid? Does Electabuzz heal(from baby power) and then take 20 damage or does Electabuzz take 20 damage and then heal?
Apparently the Baby goes first. From the PUI Rules Team:
Q. How does Dark Ampharos' "Darkest Impulse" work with "Baby Evolution"? Does the evolving Pokemon heal from Baby Evolution first and then take 20 damage, or does it work the other way around?
A. The Baby Evolution power finishes first. Then Darkest Impulse gets applied after that. (Nov 4, 2004 PUI Rules Team)
