Dark Engage (Weavile SW) + Retreat

Is the effect of Dark Engage removed when a Pokemon is retreated to the bench?

Example:

Pokemon X is up with Moonlight Stadium in Play, with Luxray GL and Weaville SW on the bench. Dark Engage is invoked so that Pokemon X retreats for free with Luxray GL Promoted, Leveled Up, Bright Look used. Now Luxray GL is Poke Turned and Pokemon X brought up again. Is Pokemon X still a Dark type Pokemon?
