Not much of an SD anymore, is it...

anyway, IMO, in a deck like this, max on the Rose.

It's a POKEGYM SD ...

I've noticed a lot of tournament players DO NOT visit Pokegym.net
Why not take advantage of our knowledgable community and build decks together?

It's a SECRET to those who don't visit the site!

yeah, but it's still all flip, i thought the focus of this was to go aggro dark pokemon ASAP. not discard random cards.

When I used the deck, I decided that I'd rather start with either of the other [D] SP's, since they are already viable starters as well as attackers, and not have to worry about cutting Team Attack's damage by laying down an Azelf.

Has anyone else playtested this thing yet ?

I'm still struggling with whether 3-1 Absol X or 2-2 ... for START purposes

2-2 Absol worked best for me when I used this build. I maxed the SP Radar however and maxing the Cyrus's Conspiracy's is perfect the way you have it, so that definitely helped and using 2 Premier Balls made it run smoothly for me, too. With opposition against other dark decks like Drapion or the new Flygon, Absol can sometimes fall T2 or T3 and not get a chance to Level-Up to X. But putting 2 Basic and 2 X, maxing the Bebe's Search (didn't hurt anyone) and bumping the warp points with maybe a night maintenance, you should be able to cycle your deck and bench to keep a Level X out for most of the match. For the most part, my Claydol and Uxie were keeping my cycles going and I definitely think keeping them low in the quantities keep a lot of bench space open unlike other builds. But the 2-2 Absol build kept me from getting one of the X's prized and even though Azelf is in the mix, not having to worry about that is a plus. It depends on whether you rely on Azelf or not, because if you can pull Azelf out early, then the 3-1 combo works fine, not having to worry about your Absol X getting prized (Shucks!). What I explained is just how my experience with the deck went, and I must say Absol is my favorite pokemon and trailing behind it my Drapion X.

A few things jump out at me:

You have a terrible Machamp matchup, and your Gengar doesn't look much prettier, despite hitting for Weakness, although I could be wrong.

The Weaviles seem extraneous unless you're using them for maxing out damage (although I believe it can only hit 70 without the aid of SP darks, which isn't too much of a boost over Absol's 60 IIRC). Furthermore, the SP Energy really only let you attack with Bronzong and Lucario. Lovely, I suppose, but if you swap out the SP Energy for Calls, you can ditch the Weavile Gs, freeing up three bench spaces. Plus, you can Call for Baltoy, which should help out consistency, something this deck will have trouble with for sure.

Now you have to choose if you're trying to hastily begin the Absol shenanigans or if you want to go beat-down with dark-type SPs (a job for which I think Absol is awkwardly and poorly suited). If you wish to retain your Absol shenanigans, then use two of those three spaces from dropping Weavile G to max out your SSU line.

I would use the last space from Weavile for another Honchkrow, and I could make the case for dropping Drifblim. Yeah, it has a neat body, and yeah, it can OHKO benched Sprites with a Crobat drop or benched Lucario G, however, unlike Honchkrow, it requires one more energy to do its sniping, and unlike Honchkrow, does not also have an insanely good first attack, which can be used sans energy attachment.

Also, drop the Volkner's for a thicker Claydol line. Yeah, it's cutesy and all to have a way around power lock, but as you should be realizing with this list as most other SP lists, if you have room to be discarding cards with Volkner's often (effects of attacks aside), then you need to tighten up your list. Furthermore, with Cyrus chaining, you very well might not see much benefit from Volkner's.

Go with consistency on this issue.

Now, all you have to do is get around the fact that you get violated by Machamp and you're golden.

I personally would drop the two Warp Points for a 1-1 Uxie line. It turns Uxie into less of a bad start, and Zen Blade/Lucario/Crobat G is a far better Champ answer than what you are actually packing.

That said, the deck will require lots of very difficult choices, and in the end there will be the issue of pushing for more discard effects or pushing for having consistency and some viability in the meta.

Also, Chatot G is pretty bloody pro in this thing.
