Hey,

This is my first time playing since Worlds, and I sold most of my cards, so here goes my shot at a deck that I think COULD have potential (Thanks 2EachHisOwn for the deck to look at)

Pokemon: 17
x4 Slowpoke
x4 Dark Slowking
x2 Pidgey
x2 Pidgeotto (1 when i get some of those *rare* candies)
x2 Pidgeot
x1 Rockets Wobb
x2 Rockets Meowth

Trainers: 31
x2 Celios
x4 POW!
x4 Rocket Poke Ball
x4 Surprise Time Machine
x4 Strength Charm
x4 Venture Bomb
x4 Crystal Shard
x3 Stevens
x3 TV Reporter
x1 ATM Rock

Energy: 12
x6 Psychic
x2 DRE
x4 Dark

Basic idea is to get out dark slowking t2, have rocket meowth starting for you getting tools and such. Retreat for slowking, and ko the dunny/etc. t2. In long games I added pidgeot for searching (wow) and rockets wobb which will get lost tools. LMK what you think. I know I can make this deck better, it has a lot of possibilities.

Looks pretty good, and since you run pidgeot you will have rare candies for the possible Double rainbow energy first turn a sparce.

i'm quite curious about this slowking too, i'm thinkin it could be played the same as Primetool, but even better... I'd say just start testing with apprentice, and you should have the deck goin pretty well! I suggest though not playing pidgeot believe it or not and play claw fossil for minor stalling, and if there is room play buffer piece and maybe a gym or two like magnetic storm or one of the rocket gyms.

umbreon182 is right. I have considered buffer peice in my King Deck. Pidgeot would make it slower, but more sturdy. Not a good trade off in my opinion.

People are starting to see the potential in Dark Slowking. :frown: I thouhgt i was the only one that played it. Oh well, anyway I have been playing Dark Slowking for a long time now and it definately has its problems but it has potential. I would suggest taking out the Surprise! and replce them all with Swoops! it helps get Dark Slowking out faster, and Surprise! doesn't do much for this deck. I play 4 Meowths so I can search for Swoops! and get Dark Slowking out T2 pretty much everytime, so I would suggest maxing the Meowths. Also since Dark Slowking is the main hitter of this deck and you pretty much don't have space to add another one, you will need Pokemon Retrievers. I say max out the Steven's definately, and maybe add some copycat, draw power is a huge factor in a deck like this, believe me I have been stuck without any tools a few times and it sucks. Also Rocket's Missions are better than TV Reporters because that extra 4th card can be a life saver sometimes. Pidgeot is not needed, it slows the deck down and also Pidgey starts are horrible. Rocket's Wobb is pretty much useless since you would only use it when you are low on tools and that is later game, so when you do use it to search for the tools, it is a free prize for your opponent. I teched in 2 Wobbs (SS) for Zappy and EXs, and as attackers since you can only have 4 Dark Slowkings, just my personal preference, you do what you seee fits. I personally don't use DREs either, it not only takes damage away, but you cant use it on Meowth to search for Swoop! to get out Dark Slowking out faster, and it only takes 2 Energy for each Slowking so I don't see the need for DREs, personal preference again.

Goodluck on the deck.
