Darkrai-Cresselia Tech Discusion:

Mewtral

I know a lot of people don't like it's "ex's style defeat" (a.k.a 2 prizes) but look at it's :psychic: attack. (Which is very easy to pay now a days.)
Darkrai-Cresselia Prime
Would anyone find this useful against a lot that's being played at the moment? Will Clarify, with some examples.

Against Donphan Prime you would have more advantage for every time they use Earthquake.

Against Decks that Tech Reuniclus, if they have not healed the damage off, more of an advantage for you.

Having Catcher in your deck makes it like a switch and pull snipe.

It could even be that missing spice for your spreader decks.

Yes, I'm aware of it's 2 weakness' and extra prize it gives. I still find this risk to be little as long as the combo makes the benefit worth it.

(Note, obviously this is a tech for more 'rogue' style decks, it is not a staple, and should be treated with every angle of perspectives-within Gym Rules.

I refer to DCL as an offensive reuniclus. I see it as a great way to pull the last two prizes of the game. Some effective decks that I see this being paired with would be tyranitar prime and the upcoming kyurem card. Since it is an offensive reuniclus I think it is effective against decks that play reuniclus. Because of the risk of losing two prizes, I would say that you should wait until you plan on using it to seal the game or eliminate all threats.

I played it in a rogue deck for Battle Roads. It's surprisingly handy. I don't think it'll see super huge acclaim, however, until Hydreigon comes out, upon which it will likely wreck face (14 damage counters to move anywhere per turn, 28 if Hydreigon doesn't get OHKO? Yus pls).

I do agree there, I was also looking at it being a potential tech for a Crobat Sleep/Confuse style deck.
Some future cards that are coming out, are going to be strong, and I'm looking for answers. (That newer Cinccino Ability and Cofagrigus Ability, are going to be hard to take out when you have a 50/50 chance to knock them out.)

@jjkkl: Very nice my friend!

I wish I could place 140 damage counters a turn.... Thats like, 1400 damage.

It's a useful finisher.

Against Ross.dec, it's a win condition.

Not if you outplay it. A kid at one of the league's I go to is obsessed with Tyranitar, and runs Tyranitar/DCL. It's not that hard to play around, but you've got to be careful, no doubt.

I can see this card being used in a Kyurem deck. Use a couple of ice spread attacks and then use moon invite to move 300 damage around the board, which is handy for killing off bench warmers. The only problem is how you can get him out under trainer lock.

Twins. Unless they choke you to 1 prize card, you can use Twins to get double DCL.

I also thought of this being a potential counter to Reuniclus. Best part is that it just requires and Energy so you can surprise your opponent in 1 go.

Cards that block healing (i.e lunasol tech, and the upcoming Bronzong ability) would be happy to have this tech.

Also Absol Prime themed decks could easily fit this in.

Kyurem can place 18 damage counters per turn.

Kyurem can place 18 damage counters per turn.
It's a lot-a-bit harder for Kyurem to land them all than it is for Hydregion, to be fair. They only need 2 benched for Hydregion, while they can limit their bench size if they see Kyurem.

Kyurem can place 18 damage counters per turn.

Kyurem requires 3 energy and 1 Pokemon. Tyranitar requires 3 Pokemon / 2 Pokemon + Rare Candy and 1 energy. The chances of me getting set up are much higher, faster, and more effective unless you're running some sort of internal support. I have a chance to get the T2 Setup much easier than for Kyurem by itself.
