The attacking player has a Darkrai EX (DEX 63) and the defending player has a Squirtle (BCR 29) on the bench along with some other Pokemon e.g. Kyurem (NVI 34).
The attacking player attacks with Night Spear and declares that the 30 damage for the benched Pokemon is supposed to go to Squirtle.
!) Is this a valid target since the Squirtle will take no damage due to Shell Shield.
2) If the defending player says that no damage is done to the Squirtle, can the attacker change his target at that point? Must he change it? Must he leave it?
