I've been playing with this deck since for a couple of days now and it works for me flawlessly. I can usually get a T2 Hydreigon 3/5 times with rare candy along with a T2 Darkrai all set up. My only concern is that I don't run blend energy because of enhanced hammer. I had my deck slowed down because of it at league a couple of days ago so I took them out.

Should I switch back to special energies? How are my energy counts?

Pokemon:
2x Virizon NV
3-2-2 Hydreigon (Dark Trance)
2x Darkrai EX
2x Sableye
1x Shaymin EX

Trainers:
4x Juniper
4x N
3x Cheren
3x Ultra Ball
2x Level Ball
3x Rare Candy
4x Dark Patch
2x Tool Scrapper
2x Energy Search
2x Dark Claw
2x Max Potion
2x Random Reciever
2x Pokemon Catcher

Energies:
7x Dark
4x Leaf

Deck Strategy: Strategy is to have a T2 Hydregion and Darkrai fully set up. I usually open with Deino as my active and Sableye as my bench to dark patch him in T2 if Hydreigon is in play to Ultra Ball or Communicate a Darkrai.

Virizon is in to be my ideal starter but I can hardly ever get him in my opening hand. He's good for Double Draw comboed with Cheren so I won't have to give up my hand which may or may not have a rare candy and can hit Terrakion for 80 T2 and 160 T3.

Mewtwo is in to counter other mewtwo's.

Well as far as special energys goes, it depends on enhanced hammer in your meta. If lots of people (as it sounds) are using it I would not include them, however if it is only the minority (eg. 3-4 people) you are better off using them. I personally wouldn't play 2 psychic and 2 grass energys, and would pick between all dark or dark w/3-4 blend energys as it is much more consistent (in my opinion). Your energy count is about right, 11-12 seems to be the way to go with this deck.

I would scrap the mewtwo EX for shaymin EX, which gives you a great end game helps to counter this decks worst nightmare, terrakion. I would take away both of your virizions for an extra darkrai and sableye, as (again, in my opinion) consistency is key for this deck.

I would -2 pokemon communication for another 2 max potion as max potion is probally the most important card in the deck. I think you should take away 2 dark claws for 2 eviolites, as the main purpose of this deck, I think, is to tank and again you cannot afford to give away 2 prizes every time a terrakion retaliates you. The last thing I would do to your T/S/S lines is take away 2 level ball and put in another 2 catcher, as although you can snipe with darkrai, pokemon catcher is still one of the best cards in the format, and thus should be run as much as possible.

As a final side note as well, it would be good to put in a description of this decks strategy, and why certain cards are in your deck, so people can have a better idea of what changes to make to your deck when looking over it.

Hope the deck goes well =)

I bought a FA Shaymin yesterday to replace Mewtwo EX. I updated my original post.

I also switched to 4 leaf but I'm updating it again once I find my prisms.

You want to use the blend energy, it works with everything you have in the deck and it will allow you to attack with hydreigon when necessary ! go with the blend energy over prism !

I would also go with a 3-1-3 line of hydreigon if you can !

You have a point. I only have one blend and a couple of prisms :[

Also I only have 2 Hydriegons at the moment. I will probably have more when my box comes in.

I think yes on the blend energies. you can still move them around with darkrai and you would be able to use hydreigons attacks, verizions attacks, plus it just looks kewl

The only thing I'm worried about is Virizion is my ideal starter so If I had a blend on him and count it as a leaf energy, I won't be able to move it. Blend energy would work better if I was always starting with dark but that's not always the case.

Blend Energy counts as leaf and dark at all times. You can always move it with Dark Trance.

Wait, what? I thought the card reads it only provides one energy at a time. So If I have a blend and a dark energy on Virizion I can move the blend that was acting as a leaf via dark trance?

Interesting...
