Death Note Anime/Manga?

I have a question for those of you who have read the manga and have watched the anime. Is there any difference between the two? I just got Volume 1 & 2 from the library and I just wanted to know.

The manga is more detailed, meaning it is a bit less nonsensical, especially in the latter portion. This also makes it a lot longer.

I think you might be better off watching the anime so whenever you see something that makes no sense you can think, "well, they probably explain it in the manga," even though they probably don't. Plus, the anime has the loltastic melodrama (Mello-drama?).

Pretty much what they said.

The Manga goes into more detail (especially in the later half), has an "Epilogue" ending, and the ending itself is a bit different.

The anime is really good as well, so I suggest checking it out.
