Deck help for a junior

So, a friend of mine want's to start playing Pokémon, but doesn't really have any experience whatsoever, however he does know the basics of the game and how it develops. I am looking for a good deck that can take on everything in the format in a juniors metagame but rather simple and easy to learn and play.

Empoleon or Quad Terrakion are fairly easy to learn and hit hard. Blastoise/Keldeo's been done well by Juniors before, but it's a little more complicated. Or you could try a Plasma Team deck (Snorlax + other Plasmas).

Buy the Leafeon theme deck.

Seriously a instant deck that can cause some real damage and is enjoyable.

Good teaching tool as well, and can add plasma pokemon etc to it as he learns and wants more strength.


Could always just use Quad Sigilyph with lasers and he can be a rogue user which causes issues to anyone that isn't taking him seriously lol
