Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

DECKLIST SWAP - grab-n-go !

Lucario EX - Ah. The Metagame Counter SD from CCs! I'd kinda keep this one H. You'll have MUCHO Help w/ Time Space Tear and Memory Berry!! A little energy acceleration (or even Rotom) and you've got another HOTT one here!
BTW All ... I've had the PLEASURE to losing to this Rogue Building Genius. She can Flat Out PLAY y'all...

Meh, it's kinda tailored to the current meta, I already have 3 DP-PT decks, and it's not like I'll be playing competitively until May at least. I need to learn when not to volunteer for things, LOL.

Wow, thanks.

Yeah... basic strategy is to have fun making them do 0 damage to you. =P Altaria reduces 30 right off the bat, so not much OHKOs it. Next turn you heal off a lot of that damage using PokeHealers and Potions. Darkrai and Weavile are so you 2HKO some of the bigger decks and 1HKO a few, most notably Gengar, Dusknoir, and Manetric. Also Weavile provides Energy Accel. =)

The Supes - ANOTHER Draw engine developer from '07! WOw. Hey, what happened to that super team of yours? You guys have been kinda quiet lately... :/
Disorganization, disillusion, disaster, disinterest...the hardest part is gathering member now that I've lost most of them in some way or another.

>> We are seeking new members. Message me for details./shamelessplug

And to be honest, I'd like to forget about it. It was a fairly obvious idea, I just named it and brought it up, and this has caught me flak from every possible direction. I'm a laughingstock in some areas. :/

I have three or four more decks, but give me time to tweak and format them. I've never had any problem sharing all my lists.

Figured its about time I post something here.

I give you Pelee. A CC experiment that failed due to not having a bad kingdra matchup.

My mag list that I was goin to play at my last CC but had work and couldn't. :/ In testing, it was incredibly smooth for such a clunky deck on paper and could handle pretty much anything throw at it (even kingdra was not an auto-lose).

Pokemon (23):
4 magmar
3 magmortar
1 magmortar X
2 cyndaquil
1 quilava
2 typhlosion
2 baltoy
2 claydol
2 uxie
1 azelf
1 heatran
1 heatran X
1 G
Energy (13):
13 fire
Trainers (24):
4 RR
4 Bebe
1 Luxury
2 NM
3 Felicites
3 energy pickup
3 switch/warp
2 candy
2 Stark Mountain

The few random cards were game winners. Candy, while not random, allowed for instant mag droppage if there was none on the field, and the 3 energy pickups were very key at getting mag to that suprise number the opponet didn't expect (magmar+candy+magmortar+double fire starter+stark mountain+energy drop+1-2 energy pickup hits=100 damage out of nowhere). The only problem was the lack of supporter draw and search, but magmortar isn't really a fast deck to begin with, so as long as it gets up consistantly, it does great.

Urgh I meant pachirsu. I haven't tested this list well enough to give you something better than what anyone can throw together.

BIG UPS TO:

Lucario EX - That's SNIPE CITY right there!

PokemansForGeeks - Thanks for dropping in. Man, I'll bet people will be SO HAPPY to see a working Infernape list to try out!
Counter Deck ;/

Arceus999 - WHAT??! Altaria?!! Wow. Noone would see that one coming ...LOL! Nice list :thumb:

The Supes - Laughing stock? Nah. Let the Haters Hate and keep droppin' the HOTTNESS on 'em  Tell 'em... "Don't hate the player, hate the GAME" :thumb:

DarthPika - A thread isn't a thread unless DarthPika has dropped a couple of coins in it  Thanks for dropping a few lists in M. Houndoom/Trode .. whoa! That's rogue.

Time for Pain - I'm building this out immediately. This list was HOTTNESS. I had the pleasure of losing a Top Cut spot to it :p <== World Ranked Player's list right here people!!!

prodigal_fanboy - That's an aggressive spread version right there. Glad I didn't have to play you in CCs!

Brady1 - If those starks + pickups hit.. OMG !! AND Heatran keeping the FlameBluster alive .. wow. Thanks for sharing !

3 switch
2 warp points
1 stark mountain

energy
12 fire

I made top cut in one city in texas with a previous version that had 3 ts-1 evoluter,1 roseanne, 1 switch, 1 fire, instead of togekiss line and rare candy. I lost to weavile modify GG while playing with previous version against a fellow pokegym member. I made a costly error in last swiss match against machamp that cost me another top cut at the last city tournament; ie: forgetting that i had luxury ball in my hand. I came close to donking a kingdra deck during the last city tournament but I could not find my switch or warp points after magmar got bench by a warp point.

^I completely disagree about heatran. Late game, espically with typhlosion, heatran came come out of nowhere and swing for 120+ (stark mountain+fire starter+power+attach=at least 4 energy=40+80).

Kyogre is beast. More beast than a lot of people wanna admit. The deck hasd one losing match up, and that's Gigas. I knew this building the deck, but as no one else seemed to be interested in Gigas, I ignored it. Needless to say that's not so hot. I don't have many suggestions for how to fix this matchup other than to find room for some sort of higher damaging tech.

When it sets up, this decks is FUN. I often reel up prey for 60 with my extra dark damage and Paralyze them, then hit for a final blow. And, in the case I need to use Boundless Power twice, I can retreat free with Moonlight Stadium. This deck can completely bowl over Dusknoir, Gengar, and even Regigigas decks, and even surprise some Machamps. But again, best of all, it's INSANELY fun.

A creation I'm proud of. Harvest Moon is a deck all about the harvesting of prizes. Sow seeds of spread destruction then harvest a Moon Skip KO!

OMG!! This thread is OFFICIALLY ON FIRE!!!

DO YOU GUYS SEE THIS STUFF ??? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?!!!!!!!!

GROUDON-SIZED UPS GO TO:

Lucario EX - what's that ? 4 Rogues?? WOW! The zone combo is rediculous. I wouldn't see that coming... at all.

rage780 - Zone/KIss?? whuh?? That would frighten me something aweful! Nice Drop! Thanks! Tourneys must be BANNANAS in Texas!

Rainbowgym - Ah. We have been blessed. Thank you for sharing these. Your decklists are always SO thought out but, yet, so simple to understand. These will help alot of people step up their game.

Brady1 - AH. You're fighting with the Fire Heatran. Yeah. Someone at league hit me with that sort of thing and, you're right.... Heatran DOES come out of nowhere with that wicked discard attack (and the X keeps two of them on!!). Yeah. I didn't see that combo at first! Sorry :(

Brosius - You decided on the Regice over the Lunatone eh? Nice list. Very clean and looks like the 3-1 uxie w/ the supporter line (chocked full of supporters) make it whiff free :thumb: Thanks for the drop!

The Supes - HOLY COW MAN!!! WAY TO REPRESENT!! O..M..G... !!! That's that HEAT I was talkin' about !!!! Nastiness right there... Ariados? whuh??? Gastro?? wow.. I can't make stuff like that work and you've got it BLAZIN' with the Dark Engage! NICE!! Thanks for droppin' the hottness on us!
I'm SO gonna try that Harvest Moon ..

WAY TO REP POKEGYM!!!

This is the list I played to varying degrees of success at six City Championships. Snipe with Shadow Room, peek at their hand with Dark Hide to size up your chances with Poltergeist, and lay out consistently high damage with Reaper Pulse.

Pokemon (23):
4-2-4 Gengar (SF/SF/SF)
2-1-2/1-1 Dusknoir (SW/SF#34/promo/DP/Lv.X)

There are three spots left. I have played it with:
1 Spiritomb, 2 Poke Blower
1-1 Cresselia, 1 Poke Radar
1-1 Bronzong MD, 1 Poke Radar
1-1 Starmie, 1 Poke Radar

The Spiritomb list is the one I did best with, but it feels like the worst of the four choices. I've played with a Wager instead of the Cynthia, but it's not nearly as useful as you'd think.
