Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Decks of next season?

Yes doing 120 a turn is good
But how many flygons do u need to set up for that?
Might be to late by the time you set up.

Yes, exactly my point. Yes, 120 a turn is good, but the amount of energy you need to put into doing it is WAY to much. Charizard d is much better with Flygon than Electivire, and does the same basic thing. Any way I think that this will be to slow to realy work well.

Agree with moza, and additionally I was speaking of being able to attack with Flygon d ... 60 for 3 ... while setting up if needed.

You need 3 :lightning: to attack 120 with 'Vire, that's not difficult...

Yes it is. You need a minimum of 2 flygons in play to be able to do that. If you even want to think about building up a benched pokemon then you will need to have 3 flygons in play. It is very difficult to get 3-4 stage 2s in play. And you will also have to get magneton in play.

Everyone's overlooking the fact that you can run Double Rainbow Energy with the deck. Geez, there's two energy in play in one turn without any Flygon. You're not going to be looking to do 120 damage within the first couple of turns anyway, so as you set up Flygon go ahead and throw down some energy as well. The strength in the deck is being able to OHKO nearly anything playable in the format (not including cards that will probably not see play such as Rhyperior or whatever else has over 130 HP). The goal of the deck isn't to set up 3 Flygon and Delta Supply, Delta Supply, Delta Supply, attach. The goal is to get enough energy into play to do Electivire's attack for 120 if you need to.

I don't doubt Electivire can get setup. It's the late game problem I see when all of your energy is in the discard pile. You run Chimecho? That brings back 1 energy a turn, and you discard 3 a turn (at least) to do 110-120 every turn. I'd say by the 3rd time you do that, you're going to be hurting for energy pretty badly. It's always been the downfall for Flygon, and why it's always been better to bring energy back from the discard pile than lay extra from the hand.

does electavire still need to be run with elekid/castform? Or is it better to run it w/ a different starter now that pokemon such as Riolu, Lucario, the Machamp line etc... have become popular?

Negative... Ching doesnt Draw Enough.... and Mawalie is way TOO SLOW....

Late game is a pretty tough problem... But thats were the skill of the player comes in... Use your techs to you advantage (Flygon EX d Is almost always my finisher but ive had games were Ray d or even flygon d win my last few turns....)... Magneton is a more consistant way of pulling NRG but hes Too SLOW and not Delta....

If you play chimeco know not to waste your Holon Supporters early dont lay a second Chimecho if you know 3 turns later you will need that space for a Trapinch and use Castforms to your advantage He is 2 NRG and he return one to your hand for a Delta Supply....

Ive tested this deck SO much its not even funny.... The combo is still viable and will work... Might even make it into a Archeptype next season (After i win regionals with it.......)

chimecho d makes NO sense compared to magneton.
I have seen your thread, castform is DEFINITELY NOT THE PLAY.
getting whooped by anything with lucario, and getting owned OH so bad by team G's Bet.

Remember that electrive is a stage 1 pokemon and Magneton gets back 2 enerrgy per turn so energy are not a problem.

what do mean electivire is a stage one, it needs elekid underneath it or its power wont work. without its power it has no abilty to power itself up.
