Defender - Base x Undaunted

Hey, Rules Team!

Today my question is about the Base Set Defender being used in Modified, seeing it got reprinted in Undaunted. I noticed a small text variation (UD specifies opponet's attacks), but thought it would be better to ask you guys. As it's not that different, an errata crossed my mind.
Is it legal or not?

It's legal to use.
The text on the new print is incorrect.
The old text is correct.
It will protect against self damage.
No ref needed for the old card since it has the right text.
