Okay, as I meant to post the next chapter weeks ago, I'm posting half of it now. This chapter was badly written at first, and due to that I've put off editing it, and this will most likely still be awful, but I think I need to post something. Probably will be edited more later, sorry.

Chapter 3

When Kaytan was released from the Pokeball, he was in a small metal box. Not a proper cage, as there were only a few small holes to let air in, none more than than an inch wide. He could not see anything, but Kaytan somehow sensed another Pokemon nearby. Hello? he thought, remembering how he seemed to have somehow gained psychic abilities, and imagined shoving the thought out of his mind and toward where he felt the presence of the other Pokemon. Suddenly he felt as if someone had grabbed the thought, but not pulled it away from him, keeping a link open between the two of them.
-Hello, you are the golden Lucario, correct?- something thought back. He heard it as a voice in his mind like the voice of the strange black Pokeball, but a gentle, normal voice.
-Yes, how did you know? What is going on?- he thought back, imagining shoving the thought forward again.
-I am the Kirlia you battled. Also, you're using telepathy all wrong. Just allow a trickle of thought to pass between us. Now, it's like you're shouting- the Kirlia replied.
-Sorry, I'm not quite sure of what I'm doing yet. Maybe you could help me out, if you're so clever. How did you know I had evolved anyway?- he thought back to the Kirlia.
-I can't help you, or I would! And I hadn't been knocked out. I was only pretending because it was dreadfully obvious that you had no clue what you were doing!- the Kirlia thought, and Kaytan could feel her anger, like tiny bullets.
-But, aren't Kirlia Psychic-type?- Kaytan asked, confused and annoyed.

-Correct, except that I'm a delta species Pokemon, the same as you are.- the Kirlia answered, her anger replaced by sadness. I'm a what? Kaytan thought, but only to himself.
-A Pokemon that has been genetically altered to become a different type, like you are a Psychic-type- the Kirlia explained, apparently hearing his thoughts anyway.
-I am?- Kaytan thought
-Wow, you haven't even figured that out yet? Anyway, I am Zayren,a Grass-type- the Kirlia replied.
-When can I get out of here?- Kaytan asked.
-You won't escape unless you're both incredibly smart and incredibly lucky, and I don't know about lucky, but I've seen rocks that are smarter than you, so don't even consider it." Zayren snapped. Kaytan attempted to keep his anger to himself, and Zayren added -Of course, there might be a way you could escape...-.
- What?- Kaytan asked, trying to seem uninterested.
-You'd need Xandar's help. He's been trying to get out of here for years, if anyone can help you, it's him.-
