The scenario I'm going to bring up is kind of old but I just want to know what is the right way to call it. In the MD-on format, I was rolling a clear purple dice for Fainting Spell. I took the dice from my dice pile that I had on the side and just threw it in the air, hitting a heads. My opponent said I have to re-roll and gives me a different colored die (clear green) out of my pile (I had clear purple and clear green).
His reasoning for me to re-flip was because I was using the purple die as damage counters. I re-flipped without really thinking that if I missed the heads, I would be upset. Either way, I re-flipped and still got heads. So my question is, should the initial heads still stand because I already rolled it? Or do I really have to re-flip just because of the different color?
I've never been called for that but I wanted to know what is the right call.
