I'm not sure how many people here follow miniature games, but...
Recently, Topps closed Wizkids, the company that brought us Heroclix, Pirates, MageKnight, etc. This year, there have been plans by former Wizkids/Heroclix employees to bring back the Heroclix game, and possibly other WK properties, through a company called Pinata Games. Details are unknown right now, but the word is that it's coming back, it's just a matter of hammering out details.
If there were a large push for a PokeClix game, produced by the same people who invented the Clix system and created Heroclix, Horrorclix, etc. Would people buy it? For those who don't know, the basis of the Clix system is that each figure's powers, stats, life, etc. is represented on a dial (*click*) that is turned when the figure is damaged, etc. It's a very interesting system, in my opinion.
Let's say that we did the usual WK thing: 3 sets a year, $10.00 - $12.00 /booster, 5 figures + 1 card/booster, weekly tournaments for LE figures, and then Cities, Nats, etc. Would you go for it? I loved Heroclix like no other for a long time, so I can definitely say I would, but friends and I have debated whether it would work or not, and it's just been something I'm wondering. I realize it's very unlikely to happen, but with the TFG seemingly dying, I thought this would be a good thread to spark some miniature-related Pokemon discussion.
