Difference between Sablelock and Chenlock???

Okay, so I have been wanting to know the difference between chenlock and sablelock for a very long time now. Is it just names? different cards? I really want to know.

Chenlock now runs Smeargle counts over Sableye

Never seen that. Almost everybody plays chen here, and nobody uses smeargle Something to look into though. I'd probably still stick with sableye.

Chen is more offense based. Sablelock needs consistent dragon rushes for prizes. But it's better at locking. Luring flame is fabulous in a lock, and so is jet shoot. It's nice to have another attacker other than garchomp.

Smeargle was more of a passing phase more than anything. A lot of people I know experimented with Smeargle-heavy lines and then went right back to Sableye.

As other people have said, Chenlock is a Sablelock with Blaziken FB teched, though people have just taken to calling the whole thing Sablelock regardless of what's teched in it. There really isn't a huge difference between the two decks anymore; it's just that Blaziken helps against steel-type tanks and Luring Flame helps with the disruption aspect.

I honestly see Blaziken being a great addition, and I don't consider it a tech. It does something for the deck that it desperately needs: it offers it field control (Luring Flame) and a vastly improved lategame (Jet Shoot).

Chenlock has 2-2 Blaziken FB X, and 1-1 Krow SV (if any Krow).

Sablelock has 1-1 or 2-2 Krow SV, and 1-1 Blaziken Fb X (if any Blaze).

Chenlock has better lategame and more power overall, but slightly less locking, but often slightly more disruption (Luring Flame).

Sablelock has better earlygame/donking and less power overall, but more locking.

I'm playing Sablelock, and I teched in 1-1 Blaze. Works well.

do you play azelf?

^
Yeah. If you don't.... well, it's hard to play it without Azelf, because your Blaze X or BDK could be prized.

thank you guys for making me understand what was the difference. I think it's kind ridiculous to give 2 different names just by having in blaze but I guess whatever floats your boat works.
