So the final leg of the SoFla Memorial Weekend Marathon, and I really don't feel like going. But I go anyway and make the 15 minute drive to Zap Boom Kapow, a good venue for me personally. After 2 Top Cuts in a row with Vilegar, I'm definitely not changing decks. I'm pretty much by myself today, Franco, Kevin, and Victor all didn't make it, but I see Robert, Gio and Tony and I don't feel completely alone. So we hang out and get ready to start the tourney.

Round 1 vs Tony with Dialgachomp
Great...I play the 1 Dialga player here...and its Tony, day isn't starting out well. So he gets a great start to my lone Uxie and we both set up. He takes 3 easy prizes while I set up the Plume just for him to get Dialga X out and there goes that. Eventually I get a Gengar X out and Level Down start the prize rush to tie up the game. We trade until time is called and on Turn 2 of "+3" I Poltergeist for enough and get the KO. He brings up a Crobat G with a Starapter FB and Garchomp C with 3 energy on the bench and then exclaims about his misplay which I don't see until he tells me. He had the Staraptor X in his hand and needed to Fast call for and Aarons to get the Garchomp X out of the discard for the game. He can't do anything and I take a very fun opening game.

Round 2 vs Grigoriy with Blastgatr
So he starts Uxie and I have a God start, Tomb, Gastly, Oddish. I get a T2 Plume and T3 Gengar and Poltergeist for 60 +20 weakness for game.

Round 3 vs ??? Reshiboar
So he's playing Reshiboar and somehow is 2-0...w/e I get the lock up early and 2 Gengars both with rescue and a Psychic. He takes his 1st prize from me killing my Tomb and then I go to work. I was hitting for an average of 240 a turn with Poltergeist...and I hit a Fainting Spell =) His problem was that he kept using Roast Reveal and I was like thats A-OK with me.

Round 4 vs Robert with Loxchomp
So we were pretty sure that we would see each other at the top tables when the day started and sure enough we did. He starts Sableye and wrecks opener. I struggle to start and once I do get a chance to get going he uses Judge and rolled double heads on 2 Initiatives -_____- The key part of the game is that he sniped my Gloom and then Sprayed my Azelf so I couldn't get my other Gloom from my prizes. I took 3 prizes late because I own the late game, but it's too little, too late. GG Robert!

Round 5 vs Gio with Turbo G-Dos
Jeez I keep finding myself in these "win and I'm in" positions lol. So we both basically know that winner is guaranteed Top Cut spot and it sucks that we had to play each other =/ I start Gastly, Q and go 1st. He has a lone Azelf and I Copycat for 6 to get a Tomb and Psychic so I Trick Gas for 20 and he draw passes because his hand is 7 Trainers...I have Collector in had and I grab a Crobat and Uxie, Flash Bite, attach energy and Psychic Restore for the game...sucks that we couldn't get a game. We play a "fun" game after and he T1's me XD

So I come in as the 3 seed once again and who do I get...Tony once again =/ Yea he wen X-0 the rest of the way to get a rematch with me.
Top 4 vs Tony with Dialgachomp
Game 1
We both start ok, I get a Plume, he gets Dialga X and whiffs on Remove Lost to get rid of my Rescue Energies. Once again he gets the early 3 prize lead and once I Level Down I get a 3 prize Compound Pain. I hit a key Fainting Spell and he scoops when I have 1 prize and his field is pretty bare.

He gets a great start and I'm mine isn't too bad. He gets a couple turns to blow up and takes full advantage. This time around I whiff on Fainting Spells and he hits 2 heads on Rescue Energies -____-
I'm trailing 3-1 and I fail to get the KO to attempt a Fainting Spell flip on a Belted Dialga X to go to Sudden Death.

Time is called when we are setting up and that sucks for me, w/e I got this! I start Tomb to his Skuntank G. I Copycat and get enough to start getting out a T2 Plume. He plays Snowpoint to give him 100 HP. I have a Plume and a Haunter with 2 energy on it so what do I do? I promote Haunter and Sleep Poison him. Sleep check 1, tails. He plays a few things and then ends his turn. Sleep check 2...tails! I evolve into Gengar and Poultergeist for 60 so I'm 10 short of game. Sleep Check 3...TAILS!!! He draws hoping to get a warp energy and he whiffs and extends his hand. Great games Tony! Always a pleasure

Top 2 vs Robert with Loxchomp
Game 1
So the rematch is set and someone will get their 1st win today. We start and I he can't get the donk so he works to disrupt and set up Honchkrow. We both takes 1 prize then he judges me into nothing and he pulls 5 straight prizes. I didn't have an energy coming for a good 10 turns so we move to game 2.

Game 2
So Robert is 8-0 at this point looking for the X-0 win, and I get a T2 lock and start hitting. We trade prizes to start and such but I set up really and he was hurting for energy all game. I take a good lead and hit Fainting Spell to end the game and push this to game 3!

I wish that I could tell you that this was the most epic game ever of all time...but it's not. He elects to go 1st and starts Sableye to my lone Gastly. He draws and shows me the Basic Dark for the donk and the win -_______-

So I get 2nd for the 2nd straight time at this venue (read about that here) and 3rd straight Top Cut. I'm disappointed that it ended on a donk, but what can you do, it's part of the game. So 2 more BR's and then my season is most likely done, Nats isn't a huge possibility as I'm practically broke, but who knows. I finsh the "Marathon" at 12-3 in Swiss, but 4-7 in Top Cut matches with 3 of my losses being to Sableye Donks due to trainers being playing played T1. Can't wait for HGSS-On.
