Donphan is still a decent deck in MD on dies to Umbreon though.

Umbreon is fairly easy to KO with Phanpy's Rage attack, which can be set up by Donphan's EQ. On the flip side, unless it's stacked with Special Dark and/ or Expert Belt it does only 10 damage a turn to a Donphan. Depending on what is played with the Umbreon would drastically alter any actual game situations, but it is in no way an autowin by itself.

Kingdra is actually great in the MD-on format. While it may not be popular, it's very bad news for Donphan.

i went 3-2 at battle roads with this deck, my only losses came from a gyradose deck cuz i started with giratina and missed the donk on sableye. and in round 3 i rolled tails on a revesal with 2 prizes left. but aside from a little bad luck this deck was great... by the way i need to test play for next battle roads any one got redshark hit me up

List has been updated to be closer to what I currently play. I hope to dish out some Donphan this BR's, however my meta is currently kinda full of Dialga/Garchomp. Granted, I destroyed a D/G a couple days ago with straight Phan, so maybe I'll try it anyways.

Cyclone is a wasted energy, Donphan should only run fighting if you don't run ERL.

to your opponent "oh BTW im gonna attach this energy and take a prize aight?" yup, such a waste. i personally like cyclone energy in decks like the 2nd list. especially since you have crobat g/poketurns and expert belt. attach cyclone, then flash bite what they send up/ attach expert belt as needed to KO it. they provide easy prizes.

Still good for other things. Gyarados and similar styled decks don't like it. Evolution and setup decks generally don't like it. SPs tend to not care, so you just don't attach the thing to your Active.
