This deck is was built out of my box of EX: Dragons I received in payment for side judge at the EX: Dragons Prerelease. I found this one Dragon a fun to play with and not so hard to get ready that paired well with Camerupt and Crawdaunt for some crazy reason. This deck is modified and has been beating Unlimited and Modified decks combined like crazy. Well with out further delay...

Title: Dragons Live Coverage
Class: Modified
Pokemon: 22
4 Bagon (EX: Dragons 49/97 Common)
4 Shelgon (EX: Dragons 20/97 Rare)
2 Salmence (EX: Dragons 10/97 Holo)
2 Salmence (EX: Dragons 19/97 Rare)
3 Numel (EX: Dragons 69/97 Common)
2 Camerupt (EX: Dragons 24/97 Uncommon)
3 Corphish (EX: Dragons 54/94 Common)
2 Crawdaunt (EX: Dragons 13/97 Uncommon)
Trainers: 22
4 TV Reporter (EX: Dragons)
4 Mary's Impluse (Expedition)
4 Energy Search (EX: Ruby and Sapphire)
4 Potion (EX: Ruby and Sapphire)
4 Master Ball (Expedition)
2 High Pressure System (EX: Dragons)
Energy: 16
8 Fire Energy
8 Water Energy

The advantage to this deck is the not so hard to pay attack costs. Most Pokemon in this deck has at least one attack that takes only colorless energy. Where as the others will only require at least one fire and one water. This is not so bad especially with 8 energy of each type and 4 energy searches to create the virutal energy effect. I have also ask the help of two girls to get this deck going. They are Mary and Gabby. Mary's Impluse, YES it is a risk, but I take it and most of the time it pays off perfectly. TV reporter is very good because of being able to draw three cards at the cost of losing any one in your entire hand. High Presure System helps out the Fire and Water type Pokemon Considerably in this deck. The reason for two different Salmances, is because the rare one isn't weak to anything. While the holo is extremly powerful for a colorless pokemon.

MARYS IMPULSE AHAHHAHA i played someone with that once he flipped 34 strait heads
SO SICK SO SO SO SO SO SICK

I think you're putting your life into your own hands with 4 Salemances in your deck. I'd get rid of at least 1 Salemance and put in a Basic Battler card in that's powerful enough to buy you some time to pull out your evolutions.

BBP? You mean? I can't think of any truly worth putting in that would cover that. The EX Pokemon don't fit into this deck because the Camerupts and the Crawdaunts are my secondary offensive. The reason for packing the 4 Salmance is because there are two different kinds. If I had only one Salamance for one of them, there is a good chance it could get stuck in my Prizes. Not a good situation.

Shame I don't have a latias ex yet. I also don't want to remove Mary's Impluse since that would one destory the theme of the deck and two take away a good portion of the Card Drawing from the deck. I didn't think of rare candies though so maybe I will take away a Shelgon and a High Pressure System for two Rare Candies.

Forgive me for digging this topic from the grave, but I have a reason for doing so. If readers of Nintendo Power has gotten their issue 177 (March 2004), they will notice that my deck here has been posted in the PokeCenter's Card Collesum Article. I guess it has something in it to impress the NP Krew.

Take out the Mary's Impulse for Rare Candy. Then take out 2/3 Shelgons for Latias ex.

He doesn't need Candy... there's no point, it's not gonna get up turn two anyway you look at it. Playing the line is better in this, and Latias ex? Why... it's not gonna be that good. He will be crushed my colorless... comepletely.

Replace Mary's Impulse and Energy search with Oaks research and copycat.

I agrre with YJ and plus the salamance doesnt work as well as most people hoped. I played it, did not work at all. So if you do take this deck, don't have high hopes. :(

I think it would be better this way.

Pokemon:20
4 Bagon (EX: Dragons 49/97 Common)
2 Shelgon (EX: Dragons 20/97 Rare)
2 Salmence (EX: Dragons 10/97 Holo)
2 Salmence (EX: Dragons 19/97 Rare)
3 Numel (EX: Dragons 69/97 Common)
2 Camerupt (EX: Dragons 24/97 Uncommon)
3 Corphish (EX: Dragons 54/94 Common)
2 Crawdaunt (EX: Dragons 13/97 Uncommon)
Trainers: 20
3 TV Reporter (EX: Dragons)
3 Mary's Impluse (Expedition)
3 Potion (EX: Ruby and Sapphire)
3 Moo Moo Milk (Expedition)
3 Rare Candy
3 Master Ball (Expedition)
2 High Pressure System (EX: Dragons)
Energy: 20
10 Fire Energy
10 Water Energy

My opinion is to throw in a little staple-style madness. I mean, what deck would be complete without the lovely "Dead Pokemon" dunsparce? (I mean, look at the thing, it looks like it was KO'd and still trying to fight!) Anyway, here's what I think:

Title: Dragons Live Coverage - Take Two (Heh....)

Class: Modified

Pokemon: 21

3 Bagon (EX: Dragons 49/97 Common)
2 Shelgon (EX: Dragons 20/97 Rare)
3 Salmence (EX: Dragons 10/97 Holo)
2 Numel (EX: Dragons 69/97 Common)
2 Camerupt (EX: Dragons 24/97 Uncommon)
3 Corphish (EX: Dragons 54/94 Common)
3 Crawdaunt (EX: Dragons 13/97 Uncommon)
3 Dunsparce

Trainers: 21

3 TV Reporter (EX: Dragons)
2 Mary's Impluse (Expedition)
3 Energy Search (EX: Ruby and Sapphire)
3 Moo-Moo Milk (EX: Ruby and Sapphire)
2 High Pressure System (EX: Dragons)
3 Oak's Research
3 Copycat
2 Rare Candy

Energy: 18

2 Multi Energy
8 Fire Energy
8 Water Energy

I tried to keep the theme of the deck by sticking in the Impulses, but in my opinion, keep it to two or three, because four is way too risky. Also, you CANNOT have a deck without Copycat and Oak's Research... And the Dunsparce is in here due to the rate of Evo you're running. The deck will run smoothly as long as you can manage to get a Dunsparce out within two or three turns. It can hold on it's own otherwise, but much better with a turn 1 "Dead Pokemon". Plus, stick to the Holo Salamence. Yeah, the other one has the ability to attack for only 3 NRG but really, that power on the Holo version is just... sick. Plus, I stuck in a couple Multi Energy. Nothing sais stuck like having four of one type of your energy landing in the prizes! Well, good luck and I hope this helpped!
