I got T16, and got the DS Lite. I'm wondering if there's anything special about it. I have yet to open it, because i'll sell it if it's normal. I am just wondering, it there's like worlds engraved, or what. Thanks!

It's the orange one you see at the trophies. It's a lot more worth than the normal one, obviously.
 
WOW. haha IDK if i'll sell it though, good memories in that. haha Kevin got one for 80 dollars. They guy didn't know it was the special one. lolololoololololololololo :thumb:

If you friend Kevin knew it was a special DS Lite and he didn't tell the guy, that IMO is a violation of SOG and he should do the responsible thing and try to return it or offer to pay more for it. I find it very disturbing that you find it is funny that he got it for that cheap.

He didn't. He went to his hotle room later, openend it up, and was surprised as everyone else that it was the special ds.

So I'm guessing the guy that sold it to him had no idea it was the special DS and sold it at the price of the normal one only cheaper?

Ouch that just hurts. =/

I think your friend should tell the guy though.

It doesn't mean it is right. I would still try to contact the person. I was trying to buy a DS from players, but I was offering 250 for it because I knew it was special. I didn't get one, but the fact was that I was offering double what a DS goes for in stores because I knew it was special. It just upsets me that someone could buy it for 80 and not feel guilty about it.

The way you said it the first time made it sound like your friend knew and that he was trying to rip someone off.

He was talking to me about this as well, but like he got it off a junior, so it may be a lot harder finding them, especially if they are international

See that makes me even more upset. He shouldn't of purchased any junior unless you talk to their parents first. I really am left speechless from this whole ordeal. :nonono:

wait wait wait wait i am that kevin kid and heres the story me and my friend Matt S were at the hotel diner and getting some lunch when a jr walked in and sat at the table next to us when i asked how the kid did at worlds because i noticed the jr tag around his neck he said i made top 16 how did u do i made 33rd i said :frown: thanks for asking then his MOM said would u like to by a ds and i said how much? they said 80$ so i said sure i need 1 since my last 1 got stolen so they went up to there room and got it i gave them 80$ i got a ds so i went up to the room and left it for the night and when we went swimming i decided to open at around 4 pm and it was orange and i never saw the kid or his mom again so thats my story and drew dont abuse people till u hear the story

I second this statement. It sounds like Kevin got really lucky and made a great deal.

Don't jump to conclusions before hearing the actual story from the person that the people involved.

Before you tell me I "jumped" to conclusions, look at what bonslypwns was saying. I am sure if you read what he said and what I responded to it, you would see it was justified. He shouldn't be saying things that he doesn't know all the facts about. He acted like he did. I mean your story is a lot better than what he was saying. I can understand if you didn't know bought it and then you attempted to find them. I mean that makes sense. However what bonslypwns is no where close to what your saying.

You should read what I wrote above you quote. I don't feel like I jumped to conclusions and if you read above you will see why and most likely agree.

Drew,

I was not speaking to you personally, I was making a general statement. I agree, Bonsly really should have gotten all the details correct before making the first post.

I was making the statement that I know Kevin personally and did not think that he would do that to a junior player.

I think that maybe the first post should be reworded to the correct details or the OP should have this topic locked, as it has turned into a flame fest.

I meant nothing bad towards you Drew, and I apologize if it sounded that way.
