Now its been a while since I posted a deck here but ever since durant came out I couldn't get over how awesome it was to deck a person out (Okay it may not be awesome to the other person but I like it). However with the new format Durant got harder to play so I've been milling around looking for those that would flow with durant. Sure there was Aggron but I felt like there was another aspect thatt one was missing: The hand control.

So here is my attempt for a new style of Durant.

Pokemon: 9

3/1 Durant NVI/DRX
2 Emolga DRX
2 Sigilyph DRX
1 Cobalion NV

Items: 41

Trainers: 29
4 Catcher
4 Level Ball
4 Crushing Hammer
3 Revive
2 Ultra Ball
2 Recycle
2 Skyarrow Bridge
2 Rescue Scarf
2 Super Rod
2 Enhanced Hammer
1 Town Map
1 Energy Search

Supporters: 14
4 N
3 Hugh
3 Juniper
2 Skyla

Energy: 10
8 Metal
2 Prism

Strategy:

Okay so basic strategy is to get all four durants out in play to mill the opponent as much as possible. Hugh helps as well and since you'll most likely go through trainers like mad it shouldn't hurt you too bad.

Just a shot but I would really like this deck to work. I'm having issues with what should really be in there. Are Rescue scarfs better then Eviolite here as you are focusing on such low hp pokes? Should I get rid of the crushing hammers for something else?

First Edit:
-1-1-1 Salamence
-1 Blend
-1 Blend

+2 Catcher
+1 Crushing Hammer
+1 Energy Search
+1 Metal Energy

Second Edit:
-2 Tool Scrapper
+2 M Energy
-2 Eviolite
+2 Rescue Scarfs

Third Edit:
Complete Revamp

Heh, millling...

Anyway, 4 Catchers is a must and so are the Hammers I think. Stalling your opponent is how you win, Catch something out that can't do anything or strip their active's energy then mill away. The Salamence is a nice idea but I think any Durant list needs to be crazy consistent, you don't want to be wasting any turns if it gets stuck active, also lets you cut the Blends, which you'd have to be incredibly lucky to get both on it at once anyway. Perhaps 1 more Aggron? Remember the Lairon has a mill attack too if you end up having to "waste" an Energy attachment it may as well go on him, works well if your Aggron gets Catcher'd, you can devolve it and have a go, perhaps play the Aggron onto a different waiting Aron.

The 3/1 Durant split is ok, but the new Plasma Durant has a search attack so perhaps make him your "1" when it comes out so it can help you set up if you start with it. Emolga is cool, you intend to swarm and it does that.

Something I suggest to anyone running Skyla is 1 Energy Search. No one is running Trainer lock so there's no draw back to this and it means a Skyla turns into an Energy whenever you need it to.

I can see where getting rid of the Salamence would work. I just picked it up today so thought it might work but after a little testing it just wasn't working. Now the question is whether or not to keep eviolite or rescue scarf. Either way they're tool scrapper bait but is it worth it to keep reducing damage or to have that scarf just in case?

I'd say the Eviolite isn't worth it any more, most things can hit for 90 easily now (Darkrai EX!) so it makes no difference generally. The Scarves are probably ok though as your main plan is to keep a constant stream of millers going, just avoid playing 2 down at once or you'll get 2 for 1'd all the time. Maybe up the energy removal cards, work as many disruption Trainers in as the deck can handle. Computer Search is always nice but there's a few other cards coming up you'll want to look at. Item Finder (AKA Dowsing Machine) might be the Ace Spec you use, should only be about a month until that's out, just to recycle the Catchers and Hammers.

On the looong range scanner there's Ghetsis to rid them of their Switches. Which reminds me, you might have problems with Keldeo decks that have a switch Ability and maybe Darkrai too. These are 2 huge decks in the meta that have easy ways around Catcher stalling, maybe Garbodor would be a useful tech for this deck, though there is a clash with Aggron. I suppose if you're desperate you can turn Garbodors Ability off with a Tool Scrapper yourself.

As it stands I think this is an interesting deck to try to revive, but it'll only get better with the release of the disruptive Trainers in the Plasma sets.

I've taken out the Eviolites for scarves but found that I was having issues with energy. After looking through I took out the two Tool Scrappers and put in 2 more energy. With the current change I've managed to mill 4 from turn 1 7/10 times that I've tested with it. (Of course I can only test against Speed/Fluffy Chomp and quad Buff/Sigi) I am looking forward to the next set however. Should help a lot.

Alright...the aggron wasn't working like I wanted it too. Was too busy as it became catcher bait and people would just stall me till i decked out. This is more straight forward. The sigil and Cobalion are situational matters. Most to stall against Ex's and to catcher bait out something. Also the Cobalion allows me to shoot for a attacker if I ever need a prize. Added more hammers and recycles to help out.
