What's so stubborn about that? :S
Good job btw, keep the group of players in NL growing!

Rainbowgym said:let me know how it went.
Rainbowgym said:wow - I'm speechless, try to keep them into the game.
Daddiursa said:Well, here's the story. Now this is a regular store tournament, only it's draft and it's free. And how many attended??
121 players!!!
That outright crazy. That twice as much as I had anticipated, and twice as much as nationals in 2004, and 3 times as many as last Christmas Draft... We were 3 judges (me, Eskil and Tobias), and you could say we had our hands full...
But this proves only one thing, Pokemon is ROCKETING in Norway...
But don't let me take the glory away from your fantastic draft, I'm just letting you know Pokemon is alive and well in Norway.

121 is more than many of the European Nationals
Rainbowgym said:I'm very happy with these results, it proofs once more we are right.
Anybody willing to invest into this game will get players.
ErikvW said:Disclaimer: Finally, the infamous Dutch LD rep (OP Manager Erik van Weverwijk, a.k.a. me) makes an appearance on these boards. The reason for this will be mentioned below. Please take into account that these are the PERSONAL opinions of me.
> It is a fact, that we are the only ones able to put down such large tournaments without help.
Sure. Fair enough. Credit where credit is due. Good Job! Keep on rocking!
> It is a fact, that we pay for it out of our own pockets.
> It is a fact that our tournaments are a succes, month after month, year after year.
I guess, I have no info on this. If so, you are to be commended for it.
> It is a fact our LD doesn't want to work with us.
Very true.
> It is a fact our LD is not able to put up descent OP.
Pardon me?
> It is a fact PUI demanded us to state loud and clear we are not part of the POP program.
> It is a fact the lack of OP is not us to blame, but you are trying to put part of the blame on us.
This seems very untrue to me.
> It is a fact our LD wanted us to become suspended, without having a reason.
Nope. You were suspended by PUI, not us. We cannot, and will not suspend players.
> It is a fact our suspension was a scapegoat, which is now going to be visible.
I have no clue what you mean by this.
Now, until I came this far in the thread I was going to let it go (yet again). Usually, I read these sort of comments, shake my head and go about my bussiness. But then this happened:
> Even his own OP Manager knows this, but is to afraid to loose his job.
> He is not able to turn things right, even is he wants.
> Poor guy, being aware of what he should do, to get alive and Kicking OP, but for income depending on a boss who is not letting him do this.
So. Now. [/Breathes. Inhale. Exhale. Get a grip on myself]. I see this as an unwarranted and very much untrue attack on my personal integrity, and this angers me to no end. I will, not ever (EVER!) let a comment, emotion or any other unreasonable thing allow me to NOT do the right thing. Not even for the sake of keeping my job. EVER!!!
If I believe something to be the right thing, I will do it. If I believe something to be wrong, I will NOT! I do have opinions, and in the past these have may at some point have been in your "favor", for lack of a better word. But opinions matter little in a professional environment where company policies overrule these. And on this day, I am glad they did...
