E-Card Sample?

The English VS set was a gift to Tropical Mega Battle participants from English speaking companies. Extremely limited production. only one edition.

I'm impressed you have the CD Pika listed. Most people miss that one.

In addition to the sample Pikachu, there is also the E3 "e" Pikachu, given in a pack with an e Hoppip and some other cards. It has the Japanese back.
Are there any Pikas in the Trainer decks, A or B?
What is Unl Base Set 4th print?

What is CD Pikachu? Are we talking about English or Japanese? I remember only singing Jiggly promo #7 was in CD. Was there any in the World decks?

CD Pika is an English Shadowless version of the yellow-cheek base Pikachu that came in a Japanese CD with a bunch of other Japanese promos. I bought one of these CD's and the card looked exactly the same as my regular base Pikachu so I didn't include it on my list (although I still have the card). I have heard other people say that the card is different. Any other opinions?

The card is detectably different.
It is printed on Japanese card stock.
That is the only difference that I could see. It also comes with a Japanese sheet "translating" the card text back into japanese!

Base Set 4th Print run just has different dates at the bottom. It says 1999-2000 Wizards instead of just 1999 Wizards.

As dooskoop has informed me, there are a number of other Pikachu cards that I'm missing, which include...

* 2 more versions (from the 2 I have) of Sandstorm Pikachu
* 2 more versions (from the 2 I have) of FireRed LeafGreen Pikachu
* A Stampless #4 Promo Pikachu
* A Base Set 1st Edition Yellow Cheeks Pikachu with the D missing from the 1st Edition Mark (wasn't that an air bubble or something?)

That's 6 + 46 = 52.

I would take an Educated Guess That if there is a Promo Movie Mewtwo that has an Upside Movie sign Chance are there is prolly a pikachu one... Wouldnt That Bring the Total to 53??

Eh. Printing bubbles, unless repeated with a significant amount, such as "Ed d" Butterfree" fall into unique misprints more than "error cards" that you could list. How often has this "E_ 1" Pikachu been reported or seen?
I've seen a 1st Ed Pika where the stamp is mostly missing, only traces of it on the card here and there. I wouldn't add that in to the list either.

Well, dooskoop knows the story behind this 1st Edition Pikachu error/misprint/whatever. I'm just making guesses.

TDT: I suppose its a possibility. I've never seen one, nor have I heard about one from anyone. Of course, even the upside-down Mewtwo was little known until I brought it up in a topic a month or two ago.

EDIT: For those who are wondering the difference between the Sandstorm and FRLG Pikachus, its the serial numbers. The first 6 numbers are the same, but the last 3 are different.

For Sandstorm its 8E5, 7J9, and JTR.

For FRLG its FB5, GF6, and BOP.

Apparently the RH/AH's all have the same numbers.

I wonder if this applies to the Magma VS. Aqua Pikachus too? Are there another 2 I'm missing?

'Pop, I've been lobbying unsuccessfully for years to add the "E_dition" Pikachu error to the holy canon list of true Pokemon errors. It is very clearly an error card, not a misprint. I have owned two of them (I now only own one) and I have seen 6 others just like it on eBay. Not only is the "d" missing in "edition", but the entire "1" (as in 1st edition) is missing as well. The rest of the letters spelling out "e_ition" are printed very clearly and completely in light grey ink and only in outline form, not in solid black, like all other 1st edition stamps. It is not mostly missing with traces here and there. I can send you a scan if you'd like to see it.

I'm not saying I wouldn't want one, but it seems that this is related to the card that I saw where most of the stamp was missing. Obviously, some printer was running out of ink and the operator wasn't paying attention. So we have some Pikachus (and other commons?) where the stamp is faded/partially missing.
Does that rise to the level of error card? Maybe. If enough people think so, then I guess it does.
We have a pretty good collection of "top tier" collectors here. Let's start a topic on it and discuss.
I'll start it in single cards.

hey , some cool pikachues to add to your list

even though its japanese, why not

the WHF pikachu look pretty sweet

also why dont you try to get other language pikachus?

there are some really cool ones.....plus, it would give you reason to get the "trophy" and "illistrator" pikachu's (GGGGGGOD i want those sooooo bad! )

I checked Trainer Deck A and B and the World decks and there is no Pikachu in there. There is however one more English Pikachu, that I didn't see on the list: Pikachu #5/5 from the PokeCard Creator Pack from the WB Kids illustrator contest.

Good catch.
There's also a Pikachu from another givaway set, but it's not distinguishable from a Base Set Shadowless card.
