Seniors
1. Arnoud v B. - Magmortar/Togekiss
2. (Name?) - Banette/Lunarock/Claydol
3. Jasper v B - Magmortar/Claydol
4. Dakota- Banette/Gardevoir

@ Kevin - If it's wasn't for my Lvl X being prized for the 4th time that day, you wouldn't have been in T4.
Well there is always next year to take home more of "your" prizes:tongue:

Wow! That's throwing down the gauntlet. I'll see if I can get through the tourney without misplacing an article of clothing.

This is going to be FUN!! Best of luck to everyone from Team GT.

 Oh God, I laughed so hard when I saw that one! Ok, good one!:wink:

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

T4 Masters

1st: Matthew K (thorneoflegends)
2nd: Kevin L (me)
3rd: Sebastian S (Pokekid)
4th: Zach L (smacktack15)

No one cares about the Seniors because Lia's kids decided to go "We're in your tournament, winning your prizes" again

I will write another tl:dr report tomorrow >>;
:nonono: Kevin that was rude. Every time I say something nice about you, you go and screw it up! Why was the entrance of Lia and her kids any different than you and your friends entering City championships and Battle roads from out of your own geographical area? Grow up. You should know better than that. I welcome their attendance any time they feel willing to come. Lia, don't listen to him, I apologise for his rudeness. :nonono:

Kevin, I whole heartedly agree with Garret, you are out of line here. It's an open tourney, and everyone has an equal right to participate. When prizes become the end goal of competing then the game is diminished.

Before I start, I will like to retract my previous comment and formally apologize to Lia and her kids for the remark since I realized it was not in good taste . While I honestly appreciate more competition (as it is good for the rest of us), but some local players did not appreciate this because they believe Lia and her kids flew seven hours across the Atlantic just to play and "take our prizes", (Remember Garret. what happened in the Canadian Nationals in '05 have left a sour taste in many players minds, so I cannot completely blame their mentality either)

As far as your beef with me driving people to events in the GTA area, we have practically little to no events in metro Toronto (which I believe will be remedied with Marvin's efforts to push Orangized Play IN Toronto as there will be at least two Battle Roads in Toronto in Spring) and the events are scattered across the GTA within reasonable driving distances. Also, if you are actually against me driving people to events, then by the same definition you should also tell Zach to stay in Barrie since he had been playing in CCs outside of Barrie as well! (Note: This remark is NOT meant to offend the LeSage family in any way, but I intend to counter Garret's point since Garret opened that one up)

Lia: If you can come to the '09 Eastern Regionals, please do so since I believe you might want to settle the score with me as I beat you twice ... and I will be ready for you :thumb:

Terry: Duly noted (hence my intention to retract my previous remark and to offer an apology)

PS. Garret, as far as your comment about how I am a complicated man. I am a naturally silent/cynical person due to my life experiences.

Nope, I'm not in any way trying to say anyone should stay home. I have absolutely no beef with you driving anyone to events anywhere you feel happy to go. I also do that as well - though perhaps not as often as you do. A tournament is for everyone who can attend - unless it's World's main event - that's my thinking. I have no problem with you or anyone else coming to any events, mine included. If Lia wants to fly in to one of my events, I'll welcome her and her family with open arms. I'd do no less for you. I was just stating that you seem to be the pot who is calling the kettle black. A comment that rude coming from a league leader who wants to set an example for his league .... well, I felt that wasn't right. I'm glad you apologised for it, but to really confirm that, you need to show others that you were wrong, and learn from it. Stirring up contentions does no one any good.

Thank you for your comment Sebastian, and backing up your LL. It's good to have friends, but just remember, friends occasionally are wrong as well. Congrats by the way on doing so well at Regionals. We never got to talk, but if we had, I was going to comment on how it was good to see you attend again. Hopefully we can talk face to face some time soon since I have other things to ask you about, and discuss.

good job guys :D and matt, guess we are staying at your hotel room for nats :p save me the time to drive to downtwon in the morning :)

Well, Sebastian's comment has nothing to do with me as I did not tell him to post after me (as I personally do not believe in "parroting"). As I have mentioned in the other thread, I have a tendency of not thinking hard enough whether in what I say/write/do at times (Heck, you've seen how many stupid things I've done during the Provincials and States ... so I have quite a long way to go to correct that)

btw Matt, IFF I go to Vancouver for Nationals, can I stay in your room?

wow.....this is about pokemon?

FYI I will probably attend the Provincial UK championships in May or should I stay home? WHO CARES!

I just want to know who won for Jr at regionals?

Again, you took my comment wrong. I have no problem with Sebastian's comment - if he meant it to back you up. He has every right to his views, the same as I have my right to disagree with anyone else. YOUR comment was stirring up contentions, which you have already apologised for, so there's no need to drag it out any further.

If you do end up going to Nationals, look up Pokemonpat and pokemonmike, and say hi. They are both great guys, and will do anything to help out if they can. Good luck there too.

Sorry, but I don't have an answer to the Juniors question. I'm pretty sure it was Brendan that won, but I'm not positive. Matthew was a pretty strong competitor with his deck. Not sure where he got it, but I didn't see him use it at league. Both certainly deserved to win.
