Come to the dark side! The newest expansion for the Black and White series is Dark Explorers, a set full of darkness type Pokemon, and Trainer cards that assist dark attacks. Featured Pokemon include Darkrai EX, Tornadus EX, Kyogre EX, Raikou EX, and Groudon EX. There are more than 100 cards, including three Shiny Secret rare cards! Zoroark and Eevee also make a return.
Pre-Release Tournaments are different from standard tournaments because it is a fun event...no prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. The entry fee is $25 per player, and players take home 8 booster packs of the newest set. Players receive 6 booster packs to build a 40 card deck, and are given 2 packs at the end of the event. Players are on an equal playing field since nobody has a pre-built deck. Judges will be on hand if you need help building your deck, and energy cards will be provided.
Standard tournament rules apply. There are three age catagories: Juniors, Seniors and Masters. Juniors are players born in the year 2001 or later. Seniors are players born in the years 1997, 1998, 1999 or 2000. And Masters are players born 1996 or earlier. Raffle prizes will be awarded to players in each age division.
If you plan on participating in these tournaments, please bring your POP ID with you (if you do not have one, a POP ID will be issued to you). Players do not need to bring their 60 card deck, but should bring dice, deck sleeves, and any other items they use in a regular match.
