Hello Pokegym members!! I'm back with another smashing deck list!! It's been a while since I've posted a list here as I've been busy with other card games as of late. (Cardfight Vangard) I didn't go to states, or regionals this year due to my Reshiboar deck not being ready to compete. It constantly lost to Zek/Eels and I didn't know how to fix it.

After states, my Reshiboar deck did improve after I implimented some new stratigies. But, this is about my Zek/Eels deck, so I'll save that for another time. Speeking of Reshiboar losing to Eels, that's how this deck was born. Zek Eels was so consistant, that it was sick!! I started calling it BAD (broke A deck). I started hating it because it was so good. Because I wanted My Reshiboar deck to be my best deck.

Around the time of regionals, I decided that I would try to fix up Zek/Eels, so I could take it to Regionals. But, I couldn't get all of the pieces for the deck in time to go and there was alot for me to learn, as I wasn't really a Zek/Eels player to begin with. All I had was my experience from playtesting games with Reshiboar and that wasn't good enough.

After that, I started to see hype for the new set Dark Explorers. I found out that Raikou EX and Tornadus EX would be comming out in it and it would add some new flavor to my electric deck. So I decided that I would work on getting all the pieces for the deck, so that when the set comes, all I have to do is collect 2 cards and be done with it. I was succsessful in Pulling Tornadus EX at the prerelease, but could not trade, or get Raikou EX. :frown:

I will eventually get it before BR's and add it to my deck. Well, enough of my rambling, lets get to the deck list.

Electric Boogaloo!!

Pokémon (15)
3 Thundurus
2 Zekrom
1 Raikou EX
1 Tornadus EX
4-4 Eelektrik

T/S/S (34
4 Collector/ Dual Ball
3 PONT
2 N
2 Juniper
3 Bianca
2 Switch
2 Skyarrow Bridge
4 Catcher
4 Junk Arm
2 Level Ball
2 Ultra Ball
1 Super Rod
2 PlusPower
1 Max Potion

Energy (11)
10 Lightning
1 DCE

Strategy: Start with Thundurus and use Charge and Disaster Volt to search and discard a :lightning: to get the Eels engine going. Then set up an Eel, or 2 by turn 2 and put an enery from the discard pile onto a benched Zekrom. Once it's powered up I can send it out and start KO'ing Pokemon. Raikou can snipe the bench for 100, getting rid of weak, bench sitting Pokemon with abilities. Then Tornadus EX can handle the :fighting: Pokemon, as it has resistance.

Techs:

Zekrom EX- it's a big beefy ex that's pretty hard to take down. It can go toe-to-toe with Terakkion, even with Eiolite on it. But, you can't drop it untill you're fully set up, because you don't want an ex on the bench without energies on it. Your opponent WILL drag it up and damage/KO it and get 2 prizes on you. You can bring it out late game as a finisher, after your opponent uses up most of their resorces thoughout the game. They won't be able to stop him and you can take the game from there.

Zebstrika- An alternate starter other than Thundurus. You start out by locking them with the first attack for as long as you can until you set up. Then, if you want to, you can snipe something for 80 and take a prize that way.

Tornadus- He's a smaller version of the EX and it doesn't give up 2 prizes. Weak against the mirror

Zaptos- Resistant to fighting and can snipe for 50. Also Weak against the mirror.

Mewtwo EX- Conters other Mewtwos and Pokemon with big energy costs.

Terrakion- For the mirror.

Random Reciver- It can get you an instant supporter. Great in a pinch.

Matchups: This hasn't been tested with the new stuff from Dark Explorers yet, but it's old past record speaks for itself. It's the current BDIF. What else can I say.

Questions: Collector, or Dual Ball? I've always used Collector in the deck and it's been doing great for me. So Why are players changing that now?

How does it do against the new stuff in the format due to DE being out right now. We can now officialy test our decks with the new stuff and I want to get as much info as I can from players about how it does against the new decks. Then I can confirm what players say with my own playtesting, making what they say true.

I want to open up a full scale discussion about this type of deck. I especially want to know how it will do against fighting decks.

Discuss, Amphy#1 out!!

First off Dual Ball is being used more because of the speed in the current format. Which is why you see Dual Balls and Smeargles in many decks now.

I would look to find room for atleast 2 Mewtwo EX, and maybe one smeargle. You could probably cut level ball out, with 4 dual ball, 2 ultra ball, and 4 junk arms, that should be enough. And if you add in Mewtwo EX, then you should max out DCE.

BTW, love the name Electric Boogaloo

What's with the Bianca??

Also, Zapdos, Receiver, strategies... etc. I suggest a spell checker next time.

I've been working on this and this due to your comments and this is what I came up with.

Pokémon (16)
3 Thundurus
2 Zekrom
1 Raikou EX
1 Tornadus EX
4-4 Eelektrik
1 Smergle

T/S/S (33)
4 Dual Ball
3 PONT
2 N
2 Juniper
3 Bianca
2 Switch
2 Skyarrow Bridge
4 Catcher
4 Junk Arm
2 Level Ball
2 Ultra Ball
1 Super Rod
2 PlusPower

Energy (11)
10 Lightning
1 DCE

Hey Skysto, Bianca works well with Junk Arm and Ultra Ball. Since your hand gets low after using them, you can then use Bianca to fill it back up.

I can understand the ultra ball/junk arm/bianca combo but I think you may have to discard too many important cards by using that combo but I have not tested this combo out for myself yet so it is just theorymon. I would beef up the DCE by switching 2 lighting for 2 DCE. Although your only attacker that really abuses this energy boost is tornadus ex I think it is necessary for retreating a catcherd eel to avoid that lock.

Not really. All I'll have to discard are lightning energies. Then I can Dynomotor them to the bench. If an eel gets catchered up in this format, it's getting KOed period, so I'll just end up replacing it in the end anyway.
