Emboar / Magnezone in a Mewtwo EX format?

I know a lot of you are getting tired about listening to Mewtwo EX, so I apologise. Something that did get my attention, however, and is something I believe could be very noteworthy is the role Emboar / Magnezone might play in the Mewtwo EX format.

Now, I mention this specifically because Emboar / Magnezone (Magneboar going forward) is currently the best deck to take advantage of a particular card which I think may be quite handy against Mewtwo EX. Rayquaza-Deoxys Legend, I'm noting, is a curiously handy card in the Mewtwo EX matchup that, given if Mewtwo does become the Yog-Sothoth of the format, RDL has the ability to OHKO Mewtwo EX for 3 prize cards.

Of course, it gets return KO'd, but that now means that the Emboar / Magnezone player plays to three prizes, and then aims for RDL. This is in conjunction with the usual - Magnezone is resistant to X-Ball (you can spread energy and still do a lot of damage with Lost Burn) and both Emboar and Magnezone require more than Mewtwo's usual damage output to OHKO. Do you guys think that this relationship could bear an impact on Magneboar's play?

Magnezone/Emboar is still hampered by Pokemon Catcher and drag off style attacks. It still requires 2 stage 2s. MewTwo will very quickly(2-3turns) get to the damage threshold where it will KO magnemites/tons and tepig/nites.
That being said, if it gets setup, it could give mewtwo a good run.

I think MagneBoar has an awful lot of potential. While a clunky and slow-to-set up deck, when it sets up it does very well, even now. With Mewtwo around, life gets even better for Magneboar, and RDL is simply amazing against Mewtwo. Magnezone isn't half bad either, taking 2 prizes off a Mewtwo EX or any other EX for only 4 energy, which ends up being 2 energy per prize, which is actually a fantastic value, considering right now most of the time we have to lost burn 3 energies to OHKO big basics, but only get 1 prize, and Magnezone is still a dominating force.

I do think that, should we get them in our set, both Heavy Ball and Random Transceiver would be FANTASTIC in the deck as well, and could help it run more smoothly. Add to that Twins and N, and I think you are starting to see the strength of the deck.

However, as mentioned before, the deck has 2 main problems. The first being Catcher on Emboar, and the second being that it needs to set up multiple stage 2s quickly. I could see more switch being played (I'd consider playing 3), but the deck has enough space issues as it is. So, we'll see how it turns out when it gets time to test this.

Also, I think Mewtwo EX itself would also be fantastic in the deck. It would probably take Reshiram's spot in a list. I'd possibly even run 2.

I think Reshiboar with Badboar and Reshiram EX is just as good if not better.

Catcher is not really an issue. Just run more switches.

You do realize how good Magnezone is right now, right?

Consistent draw? Check.
Extremely high damage cap? Check.
Fantastic compatible energy acceleration? Check.
Immune to N? Check.

That last one in particular has me basically playing him in every deck.

How does Terrakion or Zoroark help vs MewTwo? Neither OHKO it. Are they saving the format in some other way?

On the subject of other saviors of the format v MewTwo:
I wonder if Krookodile might see some play. Torment would be really good against constant X Balls, and there is the ability Krook who has a Crushing Hammer every turn.

also if we get heavy ball in our set this deck gets 100x better. Search your deck for any pokemon a retreat of 3 or higher. Also to note, it is possible that if you rdl early enough in the game your oppenant may not have 2 mewtwo EX powered up and you discard most of your energy so its not for sure you will be one shoted back. Also to note it is very possible to see mewtwo players playing leavany. I will be playing a leavany in my deck iif we get the gardy in the set just because gardy is one of my fav pokemon, but due to mirror match and rdl i believe leavany is the tech the deck has to have
