Empoleon deck needs something

I am a junior getting ready for states. I'm not sure if I need more speed, power, or techs for this deck...can anybody help? Thanks!

Strategy: Get Empo out as quickly as possible (MD or PT, depending on how many Pokes I have on bench) and start doing quick damage. DialgaX if necessary to shut down :pbody:

As crippling as Supreme Command can be, I think EmpoX really slows the momentum of this deck. Yes, it'll OHKO a Claydol, but with Piplup & Prinplup spreading early, the Baltoy/Claydol likely already has a counter or two on it so EmpoPT can finish it off in one shot.

Baby Mario, you make a good point concerning the lone TGI PokeTurn.

Hey, whadda'bout bringing a CrobatG into the mix to guarantee KO's (or to lay counters for PrinplupDP's Brine attack, if you should choose to switch from PrinMD)?

Well hello there little sir. I think I would add at least one more basic uxie too, incase you're playing something like ampharos you're already weak to it, you'll need some draw. Plus, you know I'm very partial to my uxies. The one warp point and one Stadium are a little iffy, there's no real chance on getting either when you need it, I'd add one more Dawn Stadium, and either add a warp or take that one out. You need stadiums nowadays for toolbox and Dusky :) I might take out the one warp for another roseanne's, but the 3-1 bebe/lux ball combo is solid. I don't really know Empoleon's moves, if you need certain energy or whatnot, but maybe consider swapping one more water for a call, to make your odds better?


Looks good to me though, And the one poketurn might make sense, lets see, if you're playing a certain purple guy, and need less bench quick? And you do have 4 pokedrawer, so i think getting the poketurn wouldn't be a problem, but it might not be necessary.

Alright, here's the thing with Empoleon, it needs speed mainly in the form of energy acceleration, cause it's a tank if you can get it out with 3 energy on it. SO, with that said you can take the Kyogre route or Togekiss route. I prefer Kyogre. It's a great starter and willget you set up fast.

play a 4-2-4 Empoleon (PT-DP-MD)
4 Kyogre

and 18 energy
14 water
4 call

Then of course 4 Rare Candy, 4 Roseanne's, and 4 Bebe's, and a Claydol engine w/ 1-2 Uxie for draw power. You shouldn't have a problem getting energy in your hand for Kyogres attack. After 1-2 of Kyogres attacks you should have 2 fully charged Empoleons and charging up a third one. It's a great deck.

ur deck looks pretty good, i like it, there are just a few things i would change, one thing is i want a deck to do the same thing every first turn, which isnt too impossible,

1 Leve lMax -i'd stick with 1 max level, its easier to retreat, bring up the dialga, level up, tthen warp

1 Dawn Stadium - cure u from those finicky frogs!
2 broken time space - claydol T1, = HIGH FIVE!
2 Warp Point - basically use to level up...with ur spreading so much damage warps arent really ness, i
use them more as level up help, a defending poke distraction
1 Luxury Ball - claydol getter!!
1 Night Maintenance - trust me, i
1 TSDm have been doing 1 NM 1 TSD in every deck, the freeza's convinced me, it seems scary, its just u really need to take ur time an think things over, use the force....1 NM is only necessary

10 water - dont be afraid, after u start playing the deck, u'll only be using NM to cycle back in
water energy!
4 Call Energy - 4 i believe is a must...u need to start with this opening hand, its main key to the format right now...thats what i think

no metal energy, dailga is not an attacker, hes a "bench warmer"(something my gym coach always told me!)

ryson if ur looking for blue speed, i'll show u this weekend...then again lucian did beat me up pretty hard saturday...:confused:

not knocking u down buddy, but getting 3 energy on empo is hard enough, never mind 4 on tina, including 2 of them having to be psychic...its a great idea, with invisible tentacles an empo's command...but they just dont flush together

tina works with yanmega, bronzong, basically free attackers...an then its still hard getting tina out there an lasting awhile

great idea, but hes better off sticking with empo no tina

Earth Power and Brutal Edge just scream combo.

I get what you are saying, but with 4 rainbow, I've never ran into energy problems
 
Your deck looks solid!

The only change I would suggest is taking out that one PokeTurn. I'm really doubting its use, and the chance of it actually being in your hand when you'll need it. I'd swap it out for a second Uxie for some fast draw.
