Energy discards and Double collerless.

If a card states that you must discard 2 energy cards attached to that pokemon after using a certain attack and you have double colorless attached to the card will discarding the one dc card count as discarding the proper amount of energy?

The big question is if you are quoting the attack text correct.
Does it really say "discard two energy cards"?

Some do, but most don't say that.
It's best to give the name and set of the actual card in question, and the attack name, for a proper answer.
And it's also best to ask in Ask the Rules Team forum for an official answer.

It says "energy" so DCE is enough. If it says "energy cards" then you need 2 different cards.

On the other hand, if you start discarding by discarding a single base energy, you could complete the effect with discarding as second energy the DCE.
