Jaeger - Thanks man. Yeah, I've been fortunate to have the time to play, though I'm mainly just hitting the big events. I'm looking forward to Nats though!
DarthPika - to be honest with you, I wouldn't suggest Charizard to anyone for tournament play unless they know their metagame VERY well. After SC States, I predicted more Machamp, Flygon, and maybe Jumpluff for NC. I underestimated the number of Jumpluff decks, but was still right for the most part. That and, well, I got lucky (facing only one autoloss until the top 2). Depending on my matchups, this report might not even exist.
prodigal_fanboy - thanks buddy, though I don't see what you have against cats. =(^•_•^)= regs? Nats?
vanderbilt_grad - you're right, the Palkia matchup is the worst, in theory and in practice. There's never a moment where I feel like I have any control with that matchup, unless I get a 2nd turn Char hitting for 80+. Thanks for the kind words btw. See you at regs?
Yoshi- - like I said to DarthPika, I don't recommend playing the deck unless you realllly know your metagame. Psh, even then I wouldn't recommendit, haha! My main purpose for playing it? I thought it would be funny to get a Char deck into the top 4. Unfortunately, some guy apparently top 4'd with Arceus, so now I've been outdone. : (
Ruiner - Yeah, Char was too much of a gamble. Looking back, I really shouldn't have played it. But I can be kinda stubborn, haha. It does have the potential to take on Gyarados, but that's about it in terms of bad matchups. I was fortunate to find a lot of FlyChamp and Jumpluff decks at the tournament as well. In the end though, I still faced the autoloss. See you at Nats?
slicknscc - haha, I liked the cup of water comment. I'm glad to see you playing again, even without Jacy. See you at regs? Nats?
ryanvergel - I miss you bro. Thanks for the compliment too!
I suppose you'll hit up GA again? If so, we'll at least meet up at Nats.
... Ahh, back to work again.
