Pre-registration would be very good to get an idea of how many people will attend. There will probably be some from Denmark too, if attendance is gonna be good (which it seems that it will be).
 
Just from the few amount of people posting here, attendance is already at 50. Pretty good. There will be a lot more of course.
 
Mees you think those will be the only dutchies? Of course I'll join as well and I'm not the only 1. I expect at least 10 more dutch people to come. Probably a lot more.
 
The largest tournament I can remember is a German National which had about 320 people. I don't know if we can reach that number, but look at the Benelux Cup: 156 people without invite, without money prize and so on. I think we can at least double the number, Prague is also very very cheap...
 
^German Nationals 2009 had 348 participants, to be exact.

Im Martin and Im gonna be judging this event for you along with most of the Czech top players. I will also be doing a little video coverage for all the people that cant come. I will try my best to answer any questions you may have and help you reach this tournament. We should have complete details when the main organizer returns from Worlds sometime next week.

Some kind of a Pre-registration system should be in the works, so stay tuned. All updates will be posted on our special site at www.pokemon.eu/european-cup.
 
Would be interesting to know whether the winner gets an invite/paid trip.
 
Paid trip - definitely not. Afterall, thats why the main prize is a chunk of the collected admission fee to help the winner get to Worlds.

Invite - maybe, maybe not. It wouldnt be too difficult for TPTB to cut an invite based on rankings and give it to the winner.
