Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

European Rating Invites - Countdown to June 7th!

All three Norwegian age groups have the premiere tag now, so in less than one hour the EU ratings get a big shakeup. Can't wait to see the new leaders

Any speculation as to why Norways' attendance was down this year? (Attendance was very similar to 2006 nationals)

I think 2 days destroyed for a lot of people, its more difficult to take a 2 day trip to Oslo than a 1 day.

On points: I'm at 1745 points now, 40th place..does anyone still think I have a chance at an invite?
If I had sat out nationals, I would have been on 15th :/

Well, there's always 2009

Well, Mikkel.

YOU *MIGHT* have a chance, assuming that....

about 20 of the players above you will have Nationals invitations....

So IDK since you will probs be on the cutoff part...

for the senior devision...
joni from austria has won the nationals in austria, so he has got an invite.
(because there were no other jonas other similar names in top8 and to get such a high rating in austria, you'd have had to be good at nationals...

So joni has allready his intive

On Saturday morning, I was very disappointed to see the attendance drop so much compared to last year. Especially since we had gotten more preregistrations that ever before! Last year, we got 149 preregistrations, and a total of 214 players showed up. This year, we got more than 180 preregistrations, but only 153 showed up. That's very, very odd.

Also, Norway had better attendance at Cities and States this season, and the ranking list has 347 players this season, compared to last year's 201 (!). The only answer I can possibly think of is that the date was bad. Apparently it was very, very bad. :( Less than half of our active ranking list players attending at Nationals is something I couldn't have imagined.

lol maybe they thought nationals was somewhere else

at least the turnout was wAY better than ours lol
Australian Nationals, we had like 60-70 players (overall)
lol

After a really frustrating 2 hours with a non-loading POP website, I managed to update the lists. Juniors isn't very exciting, invites are down to 29th place now, and we're getting into NOIR territory. I doubt very many European Juniors are going to use their invitation anyway. Seniors and Masters is more exciting. I don't think Finland Nats is gonna change a lot, but next week we have Danish and Belgian Nationals, and they might have a big impact!

Also, a lot of Dutch and German high-ranked players, so May 31st should be interesting as well. Stay tuned ;)

If you see any errors or have any information on the NOIR invites, please let me know!

Don't know about the NOIR players from Norway, but I know that Trym did not recieve an invite from Nationals.
His real name is Trym S.

Norwegian Senior player on 2nd place can't get the invite if he has not a "My pokemon Account".
This has been discuss on official PUI Professor Forum...
To keep clear and "right" the standing it needs that all pending tournaments be uploaded ASAP.
I don't understand why an UK SPT on april still must be uploaded.
IAN could you explain what is happening, and why a SPT (ended in March) on may 31?

Can't speak for Ian or Manchester but it seems we have a situation where the shop owner and the longtime TO appear to have sanctioned the same event twice?

Shop Owner Sanctioned this

TO Sanctioned this

Neither have uploaded the event yet it though..?? The TO Sanctioned event is Flagged as a premier event - that is something I guess ..

Why neither has been uploaded by now is something for the TO/Shop Owner to answer.

To answer the "why STP in XXXX" this is due to a very muddled OP situation in the UK to fit everything in before June. However beyond Nat's we will be in line with the rest of the world where this is concerned.

It's weird, the 2nd place Norwegian player in Seniors used to have a My Pokemon account (because his name used to show up as Tord), but for some reason, it went back to NOIR like 2 weeks ago. I don't know what's going on there. I've seen this before with a Belgian Junior player last year, but then the problem was that only his first name was into the rankings instead of his full name or username. I don't know what the problem is now.

Well, I know the UK has a very messed up OP situation, but if the tournament has a Premier Tag then surely it's only a matter of minutes before uploading the TOM files? Unless something was wrong with them, and then I can imagine it taking quite some time in the UK... Like Denmark and Sweden, the UK has had a lot of OP problems, so I understand that their schedule is different from the other European countries in which we did have good support. They should be allowed to run their SPTs, their players shouldn't have to suffer because of LD/OP problems.

From the OP point of view, the event has been "flagged" as premier and just awaiting upload - which we are chasing at the moment
