EV Training... From Childhood?

Hi guys. I have some Pokemon with the right nature and all after Breeding and stuff like that and of course there at Lv.5. So now that I have finished step 1 (Right nature) it's on to step 2 EV training. But I think EV Training from Lv.5 could be very stressfull. Because if I'm correct I think for 100s through 51 it's 4 EVs and for 50 through 26 it's 8 and for 25 through whatever it's 16... But I could be wrong or maybe I messed it up. So having a Lv.5 Pokemon and EV Training it could be a little hard I think... And keeping track of the EVs might get a little complicated. Your thoughts please.

for level 5, it's actually not too difficult. NOt too many of the Pokemon a lv 5 can beat give any EVs, and there's some good ones around the level 7-8 range, depending on what you're going for...

Really some Pokemon don't give out EVs? I never knew that. Well for example I am going for my Beldum. EVs are 252 in Attack, 252 in Speed, and 6 in HP. Won't it take like to battle and gain 32 EVs of one of them to go up a stat?

Every Pokemon gives EVs. o_O

APT, I'm not sure what your problem in the OP is. I can't understand what you mean with the levels and the EVs...

Each species of Pokemon gives a set number of EVs. A Zubat at LV 5 will give 1 Speed EV, and a Zubat at LV 100 will give 1 Speed EV. Don't know if that's what you were asking.

Use a higher level Pokemon to battle, and give your LV 5 the EXP Share. Both will get full EVs from the opponent Pokemon.

Err no what I mean is I heard somewhere that if your Pokemon is on a certain Lv. it takes a certain amount of EVs to go up a stat. Like Lv. 50 takes 8. And 25 takes 16. etc. This may be false but it is what I heard. That is what I thought all Pokemon give out EVs but Bullados said some don't. Anyways now that it is all cleared up maybe I should just be asking is it true or false that the lower the Lv. the Pokemon it is the more EVs it needs to go up a stat.

Yea at level 100 there is a 4:1 ratio where 4 EVs=1 Stat. So at level 50 it would be 8 EVs; and at level 25 it would take 16 EVs.

The amount of EV points you get is correlated to the level.

If you give 252 monsters worth of EV's:
At Lv. 50 you'd get 31 points.
At Lv. 100 you'd get 63 points.

Essentially, to be safe, (Lv. / 100) * 63 would be a safe formula.

wait, I just do it until I max out a stat's ev's with macho brace, since it doubles EV's...you can be done with EV training by level 30...

So now with a Lv.5 Beldum I wouldn't get as much Stat ups as if I was on Lv.100. That kinda sucks. Really hard to get right Nature AND get as much stat ups from EVs as possible... So say a Lv.5 that would take like 32 right? Wich would really minimize the of stats I can get... I can only get like 16 stat ups or something like that... That totaly sucks.

Well since every EV you gain takes 1 off the maximum you can get and having a low Lv. Pokemon takes more EVs to get 1 stat. So you will have them used up alot per 1 stat. Like I think it takes 32 EVs for a Lv5 to get 1stat so I I keep adding 32 until I get 510 I wont have as much stat ups as if being on Lv.100 and adding 4 until I get to 510. Or am I wrong?

No matter when you EV train, you'll still get the same stat bonus when you reach level 50/100/whatever. It may take longer to see the difference at first, but the stat increase continues every level. So if you EV train at level 5, by the time you get to level 50 you'll still have your +31 points in that stat.

I'd also suggest using 248/248/14 if you're only training to level 50. You still get the 31 points in Attack and Speed (248/8=31), but you won't get the 1 extra HP if you leave it at 6.

No it isn't. Aggron has lots of weak points that Mettagross doesn't. For one it is weak to the commonly played Water. And I don't think it can learn Shadow Ball wich is one of the reasons I chose Mettagross. And anyways that isn't the point of the topic.

You still need 510 EVs to max out a Pokemon at any level. It is fairly easy to do with Lvl 5 Pokes, I do it all the time. And I have perfected it to be even faster in emerald. I allow the Pokemon to catch the Pokerus, give it a Macho Brace, and the first 100 EVs in each stat are easily taken care of with the vitamins. If you want Max EVs in one stat, simply battle 67 more Pokemon that give off 1 EV (like Shuppet for AT). Simply switch the Pokemon in and out while holding Macho Brace w/ Pokerus

I took this a step further in Emerald. I set up 6 secret bases, 1 for each stat. Each of the six bases has 6 Pokemon that give off 3 EV points each. Using simply Mathmatics, after you leave the base you have 72 EV points (18 EV Lvls). If you want to max EVs simply give 10 vitamins, battle the base 2x (2 day process), and find either 1 Pokemon that give 2 EVs in a stat, or 2 Pokemon that gives 1 EV. Unfortunately you need 6 other copies of RuSaE and mixing records with them all... defenitely worth it though!!!!

@_@ Wow Spectreon I'm not a pro. And you made it sound like there was a way to catch PKRS. Is there? Oh and also once before I used a vitamin on one of my Pokes and it only went up one. And so I still get all my stats from EVS as I would if I was on Lv.100? Because since I thought Lv.5s would take up more EVs... So then you get less stats... I'm so confused!!!!
