Evolving Abra!!!

Since there is NO current format Kadabra, when Abra is on your bench, can you just evolve it into Alakazam the next turn, or do you HAVE to have a Rare candy to do so? I am not TRYING to ask a dumb question, just a little confused on what to do exactly!!!:thumb:

There are two ways to get Alakazam out in Modified.
One, use Rare Candy.
Two, use Abra's attack which has you take Alakazam from the deck and place it onto Abra.

That's it.
You can't evolve up to it normally in Modified.
